Slade vs Thing

Zatana could have taken him easy as well. Like GA said: "She could turn his blood to lava." Green Lantern's first reaction isn't punching someone. It's creating some sort of containment field, or something that would just own someone like Slade. Now, from when I've seen Slade tag Wally, it's been that he's either outsmarted him (which doesn't surprise me) or made sure that there was only 1 way for wally to hit him. I'm not downing his reflexes, but he's more of a battle savvy sort of fighter than anything else.

She had her shot but Slade was too fast. As you could see she started saying "Freeze" but slade crossed the distance before she could complete the word. Which is how he got Canary as well.

I agree about Green Lantern thouhg I can't see why he would stand around while his teamates were slaughtered hell if Ollie could have acted he could have too.

Also I don't understand how he could catch a ring backed punch as I assume that would be strong enough to put a hole ina battle ship, and I don't see how he couls not only see but hit the atom with a laser pointer while he was a submolecular particle. So yes there was some PIS involved in the fight but most of the takedowns were quite legitamate.

PIS aside does anyone say that Slade is not fast as the comics say fast enough to catch the flash, fast enough to chase down lower speedsters on foot, strong enough to take hits from starfire and cyborg, has the tech to hurt super meta humans like WW, superboy and supergirl, also has agility enough to evade superman for at least a while, has the superspeed to dodge bullets as if they were nothing in slow motion.

Superspeed's not the word you're looking for, but we get the idea Mider. He's cool, but there's 2 things you have to factor in to a fight like this. They're fighting in New York City, which is Ben's hometown. He'll know how to get around with ease, and what to use and when. When you know your enviornment, it gives you a huge advantage. Also, Ben's strength gives him a big advantage, and he's a bit faster than most people give him credit for. If you go back a few pages, I posted some of his own battle savvy, and his durability. The best one is the sonic wall.

not really... if it was a random battle, then yes, the would have owned him, but he had that one perfectly planned out (save for the very end, when he got sloppy). if you read his run of Deathstroke: the terminator, you'd see how taking out the JLA isnt THAT far of a stretch

You will also see how he did it before without prep.

what do you call dodging bullets watching them go in slow motion as well as catching a low grade speedster if not super speed

Reflexes. When you dodge something, it doesn't mean that you have superior speed necessarily. Reflex however lets you know what you're dodging and when to dodge it.

Also, Zachrivard, if a person has a home town advantage, they'll know the enviornment better. Ben has that advantage in this fight.

thing is huge and quite visible,
slade can hide in the shadows move through buildings attack from out of nowhere, slade will have te enviromental advantage

slade does have superspeed and you know that.

No, I don't know that. I know he has amazing reaction time and reflexes. It's not superspeed.

thats superspeed. when u have faster than human speed its superspeed. Just not close to Flash or quicksilver running speed.

bump

No he's a fairly smart guy.

He just likes to hit things with his fist.

Like in DC vs Marvel?

dunno about you, but fighting somewhere in my city wouldnt give me an environmental advantage against the worlds greatest assassin. what, so maybe as my last meal i'd know the fastest way to get to Outback or something?

thing knows the enviroment better but slade would use it better

Yes it is. Unless you can say that he also plan his encounter against flash there. What did he do with prep, get a speed powerup? That's clearly jobbing along with Green Lantern.

Prep can only go so far specially when it doesn't detail you do anything logical to justify what you've done.

depends on who you are and what resources you have with prep joker took over half the world with half hour prep

But thing is, he didn't do anything to upgrade his speed making his feat against Flash in IC making it devoid of all logic and thus PIS. You could say Flash wasn't going all out but considering what enticed them to attack in the first place, that's near impossible.
