So, what you are saying is that Christianity is not self-centered and therefore superior to Buddhism?

I am not talking about self-centeredness at all. I am talking about inside or outside of one's self. Does that help?

I was trying to tease you 😉
The point is that the Bible does teach a lot on cleaning up the inside so that the outside is good. God wants both to be good. Its just like the concept of faith preceding the fruit of Spirit. First the inside is cleaned, then the fruits will appear on the outside.

More Christians should keep that in mind. 😉

Does that mean I win?

^ It is still an outside god you have to contract with.

* it still touches both inside and outside of one's self though...

* the Christianity in the Bible... not the general view of Christianity today where the major part was Catholicism that performed the Inquisition... not that, but the Christianity in the Bible, my friend... 😉

Did Judas Betray Jesus ?

so i was looking at the Gospel of Judas thread
was that "Gospel" ever proven to be valid or real ? if so it means Jesus ewnted Judas to betray him and it was all a plot

its weird
first Gnostics say Mary Magdelene was his favorite Apostle
now this seems to argue Judas wa shis favorite as he told him
poor Peter is being demoted

you do realize that the catholic church has edited down the bible like 10 times and that vast portions of the original bible were completely stricken from every record everywhere to perpetuate their belief right.

You do realize this has been proven false by the wonderful thing known as multiplicity of documents.

or maybe they just edited it out because some parts were false ?
why doesn't anyone ever think of that
i don't know of any other part of the Bible that says Judas didn't betray Jesus
so why should we believe one part ?

There are several if I remember correctly.

there are ?
which ones ?

I'll do it tomorrow, I am sleepy at the moment.

If Judas betrayed Jesus, then either Jesus was a liar or couldn't count.....

THe Bible is comprised out of 66 books... There is no such thing as an original Bible other than these 66 books.

Yeah, maybe Chickenlover was wrong by referring to it as the "original Bible", but you still have to admit they hand-selected a lot.

perhaps i was mistaken by saying "the original bible" however what i meant is that the church hand selected the pieces they decided were most useful in gaining followers and getting donations. who knows what info they left out? jesus could have had brothers and sisters, a wife, and all other sorts of things.

all the church had to do was say this piece is uninspired by god and then they can burn it. anyone who chooses to ignore this fact is a retard

i'm still waiting on those quotes
