IIRC, he had to destroy Jafar's lamp to make that happen. Though, I still admittedly struggle with the idea that Jafar didn't just atomize Sora right away.

So you're saying Zeus would have to kill him, and that Sora couldn't?
...For whatever reason, Sora chooses not to. This is particularly notable when every other villain gets killed.
Given Sora's dominance in combat against Hades, and the fact the match where you take him down generally has Hades getting roughed up by Sora (a lot) after the fight, it's presumed that Sora opted to spare Hades for some reason.
He's often found in a cage on world complete, though how the cage holds him is anyone's guess.

Link has defeated(I'm using Twilight princess version here) both Zant, and Ganondorf. Ganondorf being a multi-planet level reality warper.
Anti-form Sora could possibly overwhelm Link with his speed, but his attack strength goes to 1. Link would literally be sitting their, with all Sora's attacks flying at him, without feeling a thing.
Plus, the thousand heartless thing was chump change, compared to Link defeating Fyrus, and being able to overwhelm his physical strength, which was capable of shaking all of Death Mountain. That's so much tonnage over anything the Sora physically has under his belt, that it's not even funny. Not to mention that Link also has durability feats up to Yin Yang. Like the many times he's been dominated by magic from Zelda and Ganondorf.
I have never seen Link blown so much out of proportion. He must seem like a god to you SSJGG.
However. Link is strong enough to catch and throw a charging goat with no help. Can swing a ball chain that could weigh a near half ton. He needs metal boots to hold his pathetic weight when grabbing Gorons but the strength to throw them is all his. So without any magical aid or (gold/silver) gauntlets Link can carry nearly a ton (probably around 600-800 kilos).
When it comes to running Link is what would be considered fast for a young man but nothing unnatural.
Endurance-wise he is INDEFATIGABLE. He can backflip on a whim over and over and over and dash, jump and leap with a gymnastic agility during a fight. So he has phenomenal endurance but nothing superhuman.
The thing that gives him an edge over Sora is that his arsenal is much larger and he can deploy bombs, boomerangs and arrows in an onslaught while also cleaving a sword which is capable of slaying the Nintendo equivalent of Satan. (seriously, Demise was a demon living inside the earth and busted out to man hunt a goddess).
So the Master Sword is obviously the most powerful weapon being brought to this fight and only Link can use it. Make of that what you will.
The Triforce of Courage... is pretty vague but must contain power equal to the ToP and the ToW. Just not sure how.
Of course we could wrap this entire fight up just by giving Link the Fierce Deity Mask that makes him essentially a god.
