There should at least be laws that are more fair to immigrants so that we dont end up left wit no jobs. Sometimes they pass very strict laws in america because of the wealth and power it has. It makes sence but shouldnt it have enough money for the people? Why cant the US and there laws think about the citizens and people who live here?

Im may not know much about this but this is what I think so far about the whole situation which has lead to riots, rallies, ECT. of immigrants flooding the streets against this all because they know that they work for this country alot and I think that they have a good point. Some jobs help the community, even the country and the workers are probably immigrants also doin a very god job and makin this country better. Theres also immigrants in war against Iraq fighting for a Country they live in for a living and they do it for the country also. I seen pics of the riot and all. The most interesting one was a pic of a mexican man wit a sign that says "Bush, my mexican son died in the war"

Im heated because I read this in another forum that has already been closed ((in Myspace))

Quote ((From matt of Glendale, Arizona)) :

"All of you, who claim to be Mexicans, stop it.

1.Stop making Spanish your first language-

2.Stop speaking Spanish in public-

3.Stop disrespecting our country by trying to forcefully change our laws to fit your wants.

4.Stop disrespecting our country by waving your flags when you should be waving the flag of the United States of America. With the exception of your State’s flag.

5.Stop expressing your Mexican pride. (YOUR LOYALTY IS NOT WITH MEXICO, BUT WITH AMERICA)

Your family abandoned Mexico by coming over to OUR country in hopes of a life filled with many opportunities. You wouldn’t go over to someone else’s house and try changing their household? Well stop trying to change “OURS”.

See, that is the problem. You guys are creating diversity when there shouldn't be one. While you guys are coming together as Latinos, you should be coming together as "Americans".

We all have one thing in common, and it is that we are all immigrants. The only problem is, we've established a law for the people and by the people that makes some forms of immigration "Illegal", because of how much damage it is doing for the people that want to get here "Legally", and for the common American. Of course this is a great country, but you have to realize "economically" this is placing far too much weight on the Americans shoulder in the long run. The reason why it takes quite a bit of effort to become an American citizen, because like other countries we purposely have a waiting list to avoid our country from collapsing due to an unbalanced weight that is causing a malfunction within the system. We didn’t just develop this system over night; it has taken more than 300 years for this system to function."

He might be right but most of it I disagree fully. Who says we have to do what an american tells us to do? That means we have are own rights, right?

JacopeX?

Yea

Bump

They should just get rid of borders and stuff. Borders are lame. All they do is surround things and stuff. So very lame.

That's very Utopian of you, but not very realistic. Borders exist, never the less. And for a reason, never the less.

My friend's take on the situation.

Well at least he is not holding a semi automatic and standing in the American/Mexican boader like those Minuteman Project guys.

I heard that a few of them were carrying, but I hadn't heard of any shots fired. Right or wrong you've gotta admire their dedication. I can't think of something I'd give that much of my free time to.

I'm all for making illegal immigration a felony. If people wanna enter this country the legal way, fine. People entering our countries should respect our laws, not ignore them. These people are starting off on the wrong foot here in this country. It shows these people are willing to break the law to enter this country. What's stopping them from breaking other laws when their here? They don't care about the hundreds of thousands of people who obtain their papers legally to get into this country. What makes them so special. It took my sister-in-law a year and a half of paperwork and waiting to get into this country LEGALLY...

For those of you already here, what makes you so special my relatives in Asia have too wait years to get into this country legally while you simply walk across our border's? What if something happens to you here in the states? You get mugged, raped, or a person you know was murdered. Who are you going too? The police? The FBI? Let me tell you something. No one will help you because no one will know your here. If you report something that's fine and dandy, but that just earns you a one way ticket back to where you came from for being a good samaritan.

It's a shame I don't live close to the border. I live here in cozy Northern Nevada. Or I'd be standing right next to our boys at border patrol volunteering my time to help police it. With a semi-automatic rifle.

you mean like open thought or unpoliticized consideration of a situation?

Not really...they complain about illegal immigrant taking their rightful jobs away from them. Shouldn't they be working instead of just standing around the border doing nothing but wave their guns around? yeah, those pesky illegals keep taking away our jobs....

How many Americans want to be cooks, dishwashers, farm workers, busboys, etc?
I do. Why? So I have something to do during and after I get out of school before I move on to other things. 🙂

Rather than castigate their intolerance and stupidity? No thanks.

You're right. The illegal immigrants do , often. take jobs that other Americans don't want. But, the american with two screaming mouths will consider the situation differently. And, those who think that only Mexicans will take the job of fruit picker or paper bag hander lightly aren't giving the American worler enough credit. It's just too bad that the American worker ins't wholly comprised of 14 year olds who have gotten used to teh XBox. Taking jobs away isn't the point. Being in the country, illegally, is the point. Not paying income taxes is the point. Not paying sales tax on teh gameboy they just purchased.

It's only a few day till congress decides whether to pass the immigration law.

The outcome would be "significant" in both a very good and a very bad way depending on who you are because everyone in the U.S will be affected by this decision dramatically, directly and indirectly.

It'll definitely change things, i think. Whether it's for better of for worse, we'll just have to wait and see this week when Capitol Hill makes their final decision on the matter.

Good point. I'm a waiter, but its just temporary to help pay my way through college. But don't nobody wanna do that for a living.

What about teenage American boys. Black dudes, whiteboys, whatever. They can do it. They need money. What about homeless American citizens. they'd do it. Homelessness is one of the biggest problems in this country because there are no "jobs". There are jobs, there just taken up by illegals.

Mad heads are jobless and would take those jobs. Probably millions of (american) people.
