bobby's killing it. batting almost 500 the last couple weeks. still, as well as they've played they've only picked up a couple games (3 maybe?)
it would take a monstrous collapse by the sox to choke the lead away. yanks gotta be thinking wildcard. the mets are really sucking right now. maybe only 1 NY team at a time can play well? π
tigers need &^%$ing cleveland to lose some games too . . . π
9 in a row now for the yanks . . . shock
f'n tigers dropped another and are 2nd in the wildcard. where WILL the wildcard come from? i'll be surprised if it comes from the al central, though that is certainly the toughest of the al divisions (though the chi-sox and twins aren't playing like everyone thought they might be . . .)

looks like the WC will come from the detroit / cleveland division loser. But after them Seattle/Oak/NY/Minn are all jammed up
Gallardo just got called up a lot of people expect big things from him maybe this years Liriano. But so far no so good from the big time rooks (lincecum and Bailey)
sammy goin' for 600 vs the CUBS! π±
nothing is as beautiful in sports as irony . . . π
on the topic of sammy -- will he get into the hall? i'm guessing his inability to speak english during the steroid investigation will . . . not be looked to kindly upon by voters. the corked bat prolly won't help either. in his defense, he's really not been implicated directly by anyone in the roid scandal.
he just got really big, hit a lot of homeruns, then got really small and stopped hitting them. prolly just coincedence. π
