That steroid user did not want to speak because he is hiding that fact about being a 'roid user. No one will tell me any different. Mac, Sosa and Bonds are never getting into the HOF. NEVER.
I dont think Sammy is either.
He hasnt done much in his career outside of hitting some HR's. His numbers are pretty much comparable to some other players who cant get into the HOF.
Also, he is only been in the playoffs twice, and for a person to get into the HOF, a couple of more times would be nice.
His OPS and OBP stats arent very good and very mediocre
The last thing is other then those 6 years of being damn good, he is been average at best.
He might get in, he might not get in, but I dont think he is automatic.
I got this from Page 2 for ESPN. They made an good arguement.

He has 600 home runs, that is enough to get anyone in. OBP, batting average, slugging percentage, etc.. all that shit just does not matter when you have 600 home runs.Anyone who hits that many home runs is an automatic bid, unless it's proven that they used steroids or bet on baseball.
All he has done was hit HRs though. Even if they don't PROVE he did steroids, there will still be suspicion. Steroids = HRs. So all he did was hit HR's, and he MIGHT have done it be cheating. That could be enough to not get him in.

There is only 4 other players that have reached that mark.
Barry Bonds
Hank Aaron
Willie Mays
Babe RuthTalk about in the presence of greatness.
He is a lock, unless it is proven that he took steroids.
Not if there is a possibilty you did it by cheating.
Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, and Barry Bonds were also complete players that did mostly everything. Babe Ruth was a crazy pitcher and also hit a million HRs. Just hitting 600 HRs does not put Sammy with them. And it's the only thing they will ever have in common.
Not that I care though. Personally I don't give a shit if he makes it in to the HOF or not. I really don't care at all who makes it into the HOF. Alex Rios could make it into the HOF and my day would not be any different.

This is all fine and dandy but Sammy Sosa should have spoke to congress. Like Mac and Bonds, they each took the high road. Insteaqd of admitting things they did not. Again I'll say it once more. Bonds, Sosa and Mcgwire are not getting in the HOF.

You must be a HOF voter. The HOF voters get are hired by ESPN are not voting for Bonds, Sosa or McGwire. Until they speak on the truth of their dealings with 'roids, they can kiss the HOF BYE BYE.

True, you may be right.
It was an interesting point.
The one thing I saw that kinda of made it interesting is that Sosa was only good for 6 years. The rest of time, especially afterwards, he was shit.
Does only 6 good years make an automatic bid into the HOF....thats the question...but considering Magwire wasnt automatically voted in after hitting over 580 HR's tell us something.
You never know, by the time Sosa gets near the HOF voting, HR's totals could mean shit. 600 HR could be an average number by that time making it less important.
Personally, I think guys with great career AVG are alot more HOF worthy than a guy who hits HR's.
