I dont think Sosa deserves to be there.

I think nowadays, homeruns arnt what they used to be back in the day. In the future, I'm going to predict that 600 HR's are the norm.

He gets in then gets taken out because of everything, and 600 will be just above normal soon, probly.

Barrett got traded to SD today, and theres a lot of rumors that the Phillies are very interested in Griffey Jr.

Phillies??? Wow

Griff a Philly, lots of jokes there. Hope it works out.

id like to see him in the AL so he can DH and play another 5+ years.

He should have never left. Griffey had he stayed in the AL, he would have broken Hank Aaron's HR record by now.

his injuries stopped him from breaking that I dont know that being in the AL would of made him any healthier unless he switched to DH many many years ago.

Man I wish he would have never gotten injured so many times. But with that being said I still think he can get 700+. All he needs to do once he is done with the Reds is go to an AL team and play DH. Who knows how long he can play after that. He still has power and good eye hand coordination. Lets hope he can get by Aaron. That means two of my favorite players would be the 2 best home run hitters of all time.

Then A-rod is just icing on the cake.

you still think he'll get 700? hmm, i don't think that's likely. i WOULD like to see him in the AL, though. he could be a great DH. aren't there still some questions about him being a poor teammate, or has that been cleared up?

Don't really know about that.

But he has 582 right now and he's 37. Bonds is 42 and still killing pitchers. Of course Griffey is going to get to 700 but I think he needs to go to the AL and play DH.

He'll retire #2 or #3 all time.

But I think he can go 6 more seasons at 30 home runs per.

Well he should hit 600 this year if he can keep up his trends and stay healthy. So then he would just need 5 more years of 20+ HR's to get to 700, if he makes it 25+ that put him ahead of Ruth. Unless he gets to the AL this year or next and becomes 100% DH though I dont think he will get much further. But I mean as much as I dont like the Yankees if he took over the DH spot and hit in that lineup... 800 could be reachable.

800 . . .

that would be AWESOME. shock

and griff may not be the GREATEST person ever, but it's sure as hell be better having him on top than that jack ass bonds . . . 😬

well i grew up watching griffey at the kingdome so I only wish for the best for him. I hate seattle for never keeping their teams together though. Having arod and griffey there was great the fans were so angry when they lost randy johnson 1 year and then the next lost griffey and a rod. and then the next year they manage to have one of the best regular seasons in MLB history and then blow it in the playoffs... only if griffey and arod were there one more year...

😂

that year AFTER they all left was fuggin UNbelieveable. i was so happy for them. i was rooting for them that year as the tigers continued to spiral into the toilet . . . .

sammy got 600. pretty fitting it was vs the cubs
