maybe it's already been pointed out, and I know that we're getting tired of mathematical comparisons, but if we assume a Judeo-Christian God then:
God is infinite or God = infinity
God + everything not God = everything
everything = infinity
therefore, God = everything.
because everyone knows that infinity plus anything is still infinite

Hey, you can interpret it any way you like, it is not factual obviously, but if you enjoy it, good. But by definition of the word everything God can not be bigger. It might be the same...in your belief, but it can't be bigger.
Can we agree on that? From an objective not-biased by own believes point of view?
I understand what you´re saying. So, for now lets just agree that God is equal to all creation.
But the reason I was saying otherwise is because God is thought to have many levels in some places like the qabbalah, hinduism and others...
In a level God is called Ein Sof Or in qabbalah, or Brahman in hinduism.. this is where it is equivalent to all creation and represents everything. All ontological entities.
In another level it is called Ein Sof or Parabrahman, and in this level God cannot be defined and it trancends all individualized thing or concept.
But of course you can do the same to the word everything giving it the same meaning I gave to Ein Sof, so it will be just a matter of using one word or another. No problem here as long as you understand that there is a distinction between the two levels.

Or smaller.
Also, there isn't. If they feel like creating this level, great. But it is included in everything. So no matter.

Would God fit inside the universe or would the universe fit inside of God? Which is bigger?
Neither. They are one and the same.

What am I, chopped liver?Hey, don't be gettin' down on chopped liver... 😠
We need a Glossary Thread, since so much discussion gets wrapped around definitions.

Besides, that goes quite well with Shiraz. We need a Glossary Thread, since so much discussion gets wrapped around definitions.

True. It just seems that a lot of time and effort could be saved if terms are agreed upon ahead of time...unless, of course, one feels that That takes all the fun out of the discussion.
Well, the problem is that God is taken for every idea nowadays...I guess we can't stop debbie from saying "We are all God" despite it so totally not fitting a definition.

I bet alcohol will help with the imagination required for the discussion.

I agree and I think God has a specific meaning. It is not all interpretations of God that are correct. They are confuse sometimes but there is a right way to understand then.
EDIT : I think it takes a whole life and lot of experience to understand all about spirituality... or at least enough to say that it perhaps can have some sense.
