Misaki's deep eyes, dilated from the cold and nothing more snapped open in her state of alert. Still in focus however she awaited her master to speak before acting.
Ryo walked to a closet and pulled out a robe and a blanket. "This robe will show others that you are my student... it will also keep you warm when the weather gets colder." Ryo said as he handed Misaki the robe and blanket. "Go warm yourself up and focus on what you learned today. I will prepare dinner now." Ryo said before he disappeared into another room.
Misaki's body trembled with the cold it had retained from the freezing water as she changed into the robe and wrapped herself up in the blanket. Closing her hands together and sitting on the floor she put her chin to her chest and began to regress into her mind, creating the same heat in her mind that had saved her from hypothermia previously to warm her now partially frozen mortal form.
Ryo came back into the room with two bowls of rice and soup and saw Misaki meditating. "Amazing... she seems to have mastered the use of ki for healing purposes... it won't take her much longer to master ki's other uses." Ryo thought, realizing that he was actually smiling. Ryo could not remember the last time he had felt so amazed. Ryo put the rice and soup in front of Misaki and put his hand on her shoulder to gain her attention. "You have earned this... eat up and get some rest... tomorrow, we are going to practice combat." Ryo said, giving Misaki a confidant smile.
Originally posted by DragonWomanRyo felt a sense of pride as he watched his student eat. "Tomorrow I will test the limits of her combat skill... very soon, she will be a greater warrior them me." Ryo thought to himself as he sat down and began to eat his rice.
Misaki's concentration only broke when Ryo spoke to her, her head rolled up and she looked to him, smiling slightly. Nodding a little in acknowledgement and thanks she began to eat slowly. The warmth of the food beginning to aid her recovery from the cold she'd previously suffered.
Misaki ate slowly and quietly, enjoying the well earned food. The room in itself was silent and she appreciated all that she was taking in from her master...within time she may surpass him but for now she had much to take in. Taking up another small portion of rice she chewed a little and allowed a little to slide down her throat, she was fast becoming full but continued for she knew for certain she would need the energy for tomorrow's lesson.
Ryo stood up after eating and walked to the door. Ryo stopped and turned to give Misaki a note. The note said. 'You will find your bedroom on the second floor, be sure to get plenty of sleep.' Ryo then turned and walked to his room.
James was sitting out side in the garden, looking around for the other students. "It's getting late... I should find a place to sleep." James said to himself as he chose building at random and ran inside. James saw a girl dressed in a robe eating dinner. "Oh... sorry... I just need a place to stay."
It was difficult for Misaki to rest as it always had been. Images flooded her mind of death and the screams of complete strangers resonated through her sleeping ears.
Bolting upright, her pale skin shimmered in the moonlight with a layer of sweat. Her delicate brow creased with both pain and worry. Who where these people?
Looking out of the window she sighed in her own dispair, how was she to rest with such atrocities happening nightly within her own mind?
Donning the blanket once more she stood tentively and made her way downstairs only to find a young man endevouring to make a bed out of the floor, she walked silently to him and placed a pale hand on his shoulder to attract his attention.
James flinched slightly as Misaki's hand came to rest on his shoulder. James sat up quickly as he realized he had been found. "I'm sorry... I only wanted somewhere to sleep." James said as he avoided looking into Misaki's eyes. James had been here for days and still no one has taken him as a student, he was beginning to feel as though he might have to give up and go home soon.
Misaki's eyes sparkled a little in the dim light, "Just incase you hadn't noticed, I can't sleep so the bed is of no use to me...take it before you make me angry?" She said almost jokingly but the offer was really quite genuine, she'd not allow a young student to suffer while a bed was being unused.
James went upstairs happily, glad to have met someone so kind. But he was shocked to bump into another person on his way up to the second floor. "M-m-master Ryo... Please forgive my intrusion... I don't have a place to stay." James said just before Ryo put up his hand to silence James.
Ryo had a serous look in his eye. "Go get some rest then come find me... We will discus this then." Ryo said silently, careful to go slow so James would understand.
James bowed deeply. "Yes Master Ryo." James said before he ran up the stairs.
Ryo found Misaki nursing an old wound. "Now might be a good time to teach her the healing application of ki." Ryo said as he knelled down and gently put his hand on Misaki's shoulder. "Focus Misaki... take a deep breath and try to feel the ki flow through you... as soon as you can feel it, redirect it to the injury... feel it heal your wounds." Ryo told her, hoping she would understand.
