Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Hey, amigos. I need help. I've beaten every single training simulator mission except for Wolverine's. No matter what strategy I try, I can't seem to defeat Warstar in time before he (or the AIM soldiers) destroy the energy cores. Does anyone happen to have any sort of decent strategy for completing this simulator? Thanks in advance, comrades.

How long did it take you guys to beat this game??

Two days on the second hardest difficulty. Took me a week to unlock all the characters.

Impressive.

Completely ignore the soldiers. Just keep slashing at Warstar 'till he's down.

Yea, I tried that. Eh, guess I'll just have to keep trying at this same strategy. Oh well. Thanks for the input anyway.

When I completed that mission Warstar was stuck in a corner not moving, so I just kept hitting him till he dropped 😄

Keep using the slash attack until his rage meter is filled up.

Then, just unload on him with the multiple slashing attack.

Has anyone gotten the Wii version? Or maybe just tried it?

I am interested in hearing how well this game works on the Wii. I am planing on getting this game but haven't decided whether or not to go for the Wii version or the PC version. At first this doesn't strike me as a game that would fit with the Wii, however I also doesn't want to sit in front of a PC with this game. So do anyone know if this game works well on the Wii or should I rather go for the PC version?

Well this is for 360 users 8 more characters will be available soon like:Hulk,Magneto,Venom,Sabertooth,Hawkeye,Cyclops,Dr Doom,Night Crawler.

Yay! 😄

Now there is something to do while waiting for the sequel to come out!

So I played the first couple levels with a buddy of mine. Initial thoughts:

My friend likes Cap a lot. Haven't gotten a chance to play with him, but I'm told he rocks.

Thor is hardcore.

Spider-Man and Wolverine are about what you'd expect, and moderately useful/cool.

Luke Cage is an uninspired waste of time to play with. Thing isn't much better. Colossus was decent because he could use Ultron bots like rag doll weapons, but he died on us a couple times. Generally, we didn't really like any of the bruisers except Thor.

I'm partial to anyone that flies, so I like Ms. Marvel and Iron Man. Nothing special though.

I kept thinking of the unholy monster Iceman was in X-Men Legends, so it was hard playing with him sans a bunch of upgrades.

Deadpool is decent. Dialogue could be slightly better, but "I'm the best at....whatever it is that Wolverine does!" was priceless.

...

All in all, a nice fanboy-romp through Marvel so far. Nothing special though.

Despite the fact that no one responded last time, I feel like blogging my game experience. So 313 to you all.

Anyway.

We bought the hero/villian pack (my friend is well-enough off that he doesn't mind paying for frivolous stuff like that). Then we discovered Magneto's telekinesis. Much fun was had.

For those interested: Magneto's cool, Doom's an Iron Man clone, Venom's a Spidey clone, Hulk is more fun than most brawlers and slightly more useful, Nightcrawler's actually a blast, Hawkeye's decent...kinda meh. Haven't played with the others.

The Fantastic Four are a bunch of sissies...at least for me. We got owned hardcore by the Atlantis mid-bosses, then switched to a decent team and won easily.

Cap/Thor/Hulk/Wolverine is probably our best combo right now power-wise.

I played both the psp and X-box versions. Our team was SS, Thor, Deadpool, Iron man

As with the X-Men Legends games, everyone gets XP but those who get the most are the ones you play with the most. We also naturally pimp them out with teh best equipment. So you could probably make nearly any team really powerful.

My friend has a man-crush on Cap so he's quickly becoming really good. I try to be diverse in who I play with, but Thor is a mainstay.

Ironically, I've ignored Spidey completely. After SM3, which I just played, I feel like playing with him in MUA would be frustrating.

Agreed. Thor is definitely not like the other bricks in the game. Deadpools healing factor is great and he can teleport. The PSP had Genis velle as a playable character. He was a mix between Iron Man and SS.

Haven't gotten Surfer yet. Should be fun.

Forgot DP had a healing factor. That's why we like Wolverine though for tough situations.

I wont lie, my friends and I cheated. As soon as we got the game we put the code in to unlock all the characters.

🙂

Moving on, a Iceman/Ironman/Deadpool/Venom mix is awesome.

Ah. No worries...at least it was a cool cheat, not a cheap one.

You know what else would be fun? Seeing every character "maxed out" on stats, to have an objective analysis of who can become the "best" in the game if you play with them a bunch. I doubt you could fully max out everyone, but even high-level stats at a certain level limit for each person.

I'm a sucker for lists like that, and comparative analyses.

You could do worse. I like Tony, and there aren't really any people I dislike on the list. Sue and Cage are the only two so far that I've come to loathe. And the FF in general.
