I should be getting my game in about 6 hours. Problem though. The store recieves shipments of GOW at 6, class starts at 6:30! DOH! So I have to get the game, then stick it in my glove compartment and go to school knowing that I have what seems to be the game of the year sitting in my car just waiting to be played. My class is three hours...it's going to feel like 3 days. But man, when I get home after class and pop it in, it will be soooo satisfying, like an orgasm after having blue balls.

I had a similar experience this morning in another site (which shall remain confindential) with the fanboys. I love how they're eating the crow for making fools of themselves. I'm not kidding. Prior to E3 they were all yelling on how Killzone was going to be "killer" shooter for teh PS3 this fall. Yet, there is no friggin Killzone yet.
Just ignore them. Don't lower yourself to their level. Just enjoy the game and let them be bitter.

Yeah, all the gamestops around here are saying they'll have it tonight. So I am confident that I'll get it, but sitting in class twiddling my thumbs waiting to go home will be torture. It's pointless for me to even go tonight, I won't be paying attention or learning anything, I'll just be staring at the other students while imagining they're the horde and me chainsawing them and curb stomping them.
I don't know why this game is so special. I haven't played it (yet), and though it seems like fun, it's just a shooter.
Based on the screen shots and the reviews, it's even a pretty good shooter, but still, what's the big deal ? It seems like yet another big marine saves the Earth with a shit load of weapons kind of game.
What's the big deal of MGS4... its just another sneaking game where you get behind a guy and crack his neck.
Or whats the big deal of Twilight Princess, you know, because its just another Zelda game.

The big deal is that the game is awesome with the best console graphics, amazing gameplay, amazing sound and an cool tactical feel to the game that most big marine saves earth games dont have.

I see....yeah, its annoying not having Broadband because of the Arcade and Demo's, but I just have XBOX Silver and I use it, but if i didnt have it, it wouldnt be a problem.If Gears Of War MP is any good, I might get Gold. Silver is free out of the box, so if you want to play online, you gotta pay.

Not hating, but for some reason Gears just doesnt seem to be attracting me, Ill probably rent it to check it out, and I could fall in love with it.
But I just dont see anything OMG about it for me.
But it is without a doubt the one of the most beautiful games ever released.

I love shooters by the way ! But they haven't evolved a lot since the days of let's say Doom or Quake. Nicer graphics, a vehicle you can drive... that's about it.
Concerning the graphics, they look rather "brownish" and "greenish" if you know what I mean. It's not exactly Elder Scrolls Oblivion with it beautiful colors.
Of course, I have to actually play it before I can judge. But based on what I saw : very sharp graphics but pretty boring colors.
