i think at least Halle would have to stay, but Hugh could make a tiny appearance or simply be referred in the movie, since he will have his spin-off. Both leaving would kinda kill the franchise. But X4 could be Halle's last film, setting up to the others.
Storm still has to show why she is angry, and we have to know her past...but Logan could go and leave space for Scott and Gambit.
I totally think they should make a X4,but ...not name it like Xmen four..that would be cheesy. I think there will be another movie,just because of the way things turned out on X3.Although,I'm not sure how they'd pull it off if there WAS a X4,what with the professor being ashes and all,and Jean being dead,there wouldn't be much of a storyline😕 .
you are all fools if you think anyone but patrick stewart will play professor x. If and when u buy the xmen 3 dvd... listen to the directors commentary towards the end of the credits. he alludes to professor x having a twin brother being kept of life support. This brings me to believe that patrick stewart will be back in x4 and will return to the school to solidify himself as the leader of the xmen.

If Gambit was a throwaway supporting character... i'd watch the movie but i'd be enraged with it.. i say wolvie out with a small role in the movie because Logan + Gambit = basically the same. Not to mention Wolverine was the emphasis of the first three and if u put him in another big role its gonna be another wolverine movie. And relunctantly i don't wanna see that, although i love wolvie.
Everyone wants to see Gambit, but he's not really a main character, he seems more like someone that would pop in for like 15 minutes of the movie and then be forgotten. Unless X4 is just a tie up loose ends and intro X5 characters for an entertaining X5 movie, then I doubt they're going to bring in Gambit as a main character; that just seems like too much wasted movie. Besides, they pretty much ruined their easiest outlet for bringing him in when they had Rogue show up at the end of the movie. And come on, is Rogue gonna run away like every movie? That's just way too repetitious to do every movie. As much as I would like to see Gambit as a main character, I doubt it'll happen.

So, the only thing that confirms his death is not we seeing it, it's not the mutant detecting device Cerebro, it's not any other character witnessing it, but only the word a mad woman, who still did not seem so sure of it and was found unconscious for a mysterious reason, which could be something like, i don't know, an optic blast hitting her or a very sinister supervillain with teleporting powers knocking her out and taking away the object of his experiments for years?
