He didn't tank it. He got incinerated and he wasn't in the center of it. Not to mention, he needs something so his consciousness can manipulate. Something like technology, or a weak body. So there is no point in saying he can survive it.
Besides that, Cyborg has a unique ability something the sky fathers, and most characters below them do not have.

This doesn't contradict what I said. He resisted them just as I said. That particular fight HAS NOT been rectonned to a Avatar. That is complete bs. That would mean ALL of DS previous appearance even Pre-Crisis was an Avatar using your reasoning based on one throw away statement. You can't pick and choose which appearance are avatars. Either every single appearance previous to FC was avatars or it is a throw away line since we can't determine which ones were or weren't.
