But other characters have been able to use their trademark powers against SBP when they fought him....why would Thanos be any different?
Fights with Prime go one of two ways: either everyone melees him and fails or they fight smart and use their true abilities...which usually don't do any better. His strength is greater than Thanos by feats, his durability is as good if not better, his speed is better, and his endurance is better. Thanos has him in intelligence and that's about it. But Thanos is good enough that it isn't a complete stomp.

Speed I'll give you, but I'm not sure about strength or durability. Thanos has some impressive feats in those areas. 😬

Prime is stronger.. more durable... what the hell is this based on? I MIGHT be willing to give prime a slight slight strength advantage. Durable.. nah. Speed of course. However, Thanos has many many more powers to use on Prime. Let us not forget Thanos could employ exotic powers to create weaknesses to attack Prime with. Whether it be using Red Sunlight, mind rape or any number of powers. Thanos is also more way more intelligent than Prime. Better MA than Prime. Show me anytime Thanos has gotten Tired? Show me any time Prime has gotten tired. Superman(his inferior) has fought a 1000 year war. As long as Prime has a sun that hit him, his stamina should be much better. Though, I don't expect that this fight will be decide because of stamina.
Thanos doesn't have magic(not that it will work), nor kryptonite from Universe Prime, nor does he have red Sun radiation blast. Not that it would be effective as you may think. S
I agree Thanos is smarter because he can keep his temper down and think.
