There is talk of A. Silva moving up to LHW permanently and vacating the MW title so that way he can fight tougher competition and if he really doesn't want to face Machida, he could leave the ufc after his next 3 or so fights and box Roy Jones Jr.
Anyone see Torres lose the batamweight title last night?
Originally posted by Elite HunterYa heard about it too. This is horrible for the next MW champ. There will always be the question to "Would ____ be able to defeat A. Silva?"

I hope he continues at MW.
And Roy Jones said that he was impressed with Anderson's performance.

A Silva perm moving up is silly and wont happen until his team mate Machida loses it. They wont fight.

I want GPS vs Silva, so GSP can have to belts and really be the P2P best fighter before his time is up.
By the way, GSP said in a recent interview that he wants to train with Machida.

When I said no one, I didn't literally mean no one, it's an expression. On sherdog, there were barely any people thinking he'd win.
I know its an expression and i didnt take it literally. What i mean is that though forrest was on underdog he had did have alot of people thinking hed win because of that very fact. On UFC.com,mmashare and about 2 others im on there were quite a few people like this.

Henderson has a better chance at Silva than GSP does imo.
GSP's wrestling is superior to Henderson's, yeah I said it, and he could probably do his standard dominate-you-from-the-top game on Anderson much easier than Henderson. Add in GSP great standup and I see him giving trouble to Anderson on a level Henderson can't. GSP's intelligence and versatility should allow him to come up with some nice counters to Anderson.
GSP's main obstacle is Anderson's size. Anderson probably outweighs him by a good 30 lbs and has a reach advantage.

This is the first time im disagreeing with you. Not even close my friend. Hendo doesn't shoot in like GSP does, but Hendo on the ground is an animal. Did you see how well he held against a bigger Rampage.
GSP would have too much trouble on the ground with Hendo.

To be honest, Henderson simply does not have the kind of offense that will take Anderson down. He'll get beat up on the feet and finished off much like last time.GSP's wrestling is superior to Henderson's, yeah I said it, and he could probably do his standard dominate-you-from-the-top game on Anderson much easier than Henderson. Bullshido isn't. Many people thought Forest's weight advantage would give Silva trouble. It actually may have if Forest knew how to use it.
No one is taking Anderson in stand up(MW/WW fighters), it doesn't matter if GSP is better than Hendo, he isn't better than Silva.
Anyone's best option is to take Silva and try to control him on the ground, Hendo will do a better job of that than GSP imo.
Forrest weight would have given him trouble if he actually tried to clinch or takedown, not swing wildly on someone who has great speed and counter attacks. He probably had one of the worst strategies I've seen in a fight.
