Frankly, the defense of Silva is laughable. I could probably make 2 10,000 character posts on how disgraceful Silva fought, but I don't have the patience for it.
His defense was bad because he wanted to goad Maia into sailing in.

😂 No they aren't. HOW did Maia disrespect Silva's skills? He downrate them in an interview?

Silva is just a Muhammad Ali wannabe .
Well, he has been about the only fighter apart from Ali to successfully use the phantom punch.

Results should be considered over entertainment when determining a fighters status with the company.....this isnt professional wrestling.
👆 Agreed.

I agree that it should be more about the skill set than the performance but this is not always true in MMA. I wish it where but the UFC strives for champions and contenders that adhere to putting on good fights for the fans. That's the soul reason why Frankie Edgar was given a title shot over Gray Maynard. It sucks sometimes but that's the way business rolls.
Yup. Dana is pissed because he believes Anderson cost him quite a few potential new fans.
Oh and long time no see. First Mark Question appears and now you. I wonder what member we haven't heard from in a while will show up next? lol

Silva wastes people money, they pay to see him kick ass. The fans rather see him KO a guy than him being the typical show boating boring fighter.
Meh. The fans, even if they don't realize it, only pay to
access the event. Silva, and any fighter for that matter, is not obligated or guaranteed to perform a certain way at all.
While I disagree with batdude123's assessment, I can understand his point. We simply attribute different motivations to Silva's antics.
The logic that you're buying an a la carte item for Silva to serve just ain't right though.
