Pride rules are much better.

Quoted for truth...

Also for fun.

I think Crocop would take a rematch without much difficulty. He did it to Roidleman.

I didn't know about the elbow comment in the interview. I was just assuming he guessed the wrong hit level since he dropped his guard ...and Gonzaga doesn't look like he can kick above waist level.

we'll you can't say a fighter isn't much of a "kicker". to be a real MMA fighter, you need a strong background in any form of JiuJitsu, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Wrestling. Gonzaga is a great Brazilian Jiu Jiutsu fighter. Everyone was waiting for Cro Cop to do his Left High Kick to KO Gonzaga, but it literally was the other way around. Gonzaga used a Right High Kick which put Cro Cop to sleep.

Example:
Fedor Emelianenko (26-1-0)

His background is Sambo and Judo, but he has been training his kicks and punches by taking Tae Kwon Do and Karate classes in Korea.

another one would be

Rampage Jackson (26-6-0)

He started out with a wrestling background and was known for slamming opponents easily. He gradually worked on his punches and is now working on his leg kicks to get ready for Chuck Liddell.

my point is, MMA is MMA for a reason. One style of fighitng isn't going to get you far.

Well I know that but I was told he is more or a striker than a kicker, just what I heard..so I thought that was a pretty good fight anyways.

Pride rules are much better.I herd an interview were Dana White said how they were doing away with soccer kicks to the head.He said those take no skill. What an idiot. He talks about how much their going to do to make Pride better and advance MMA yet in his interviews he curses and raves on like a young punk kid.I find something ironic about that.Anyhow,I think CC will come back more than ready for a rematch with Gonzaga.Does anyone else find it funny Gonzaga's only loss is to Fabricio Werdum,Crocops Jujitsu teacher? And it was by tko!

CroCop just got caught... It happens. He can be successful in the cage, look at Chuck for example, he's a striker who does really well in the cage. They say CroCop doesn't train with a cage, mistake in my opinion.
Who do you think will take it? Randy or Gonzaga? Randy looked huge cageside... I think Couture will throw together a good gameplan and keep his belt.

I think Randy can definently win but I don't know if he has his heart in this fight. His main reason for coming out of retirement was to fight Crocop. Now he might not get the chance.I think Randy thought, that by fighting Crocop it would seal his legacy as an MMA legend.I think he can win this fight rather easy, but we will see.If Gonzaga wins it pretty much secures his place as a legitamate heavy-weight,regardless.When Crocop makes his return I think he will be even more dangerous. So Gonzaga better already be preparing for that match too!

striker than a kicker? striker refers to a fighter who is adept in both punches and kicks.

Werdum vs Gonzaga was an incredible match. Gonzaga was actually kicking Werdum's ass until Zaga gassed and Werdum took control of the fight and defeated him.

Zaga has a chance to defeat Couture. I'll be cheering for Couture. Randy said that Zaga was going to defeat Cro Cop, so i dont know if he wanted to really fight Zaga or not.

I can see Zaga KO'ing Couture or Couture whooping Zaga's ass for 5 rounds. Anything can happen.

Can't wait to see how Nogueria does in the UFC.He said he's not worried about elbows.I think he'll come in more adapted to the rules than CroCop did.

i agree, but Nog likes to be on his back, and the octagon is really going to be a disadvantage for him.

Call it a hunch, but I think Nogueira will dominate the UFC even with the Octagon. I've been on a roll predicting fights for a while, save for one involving Soukoudjou, and I don't think I'm off here either.

We'll get to see Nogueira vs Crocop 2 finally as well.

Nog vs CC 2 should be a great fight. I'd give the edge to Nog. From his recent interview, he seems very confident. CC is coming off from a lose and i think it's really going to hurt him. I remember after CC got KO'd by Randleman, he wasn't the same for his first returing fight. He had really hard time defeating a fighter like Kanehara but afterwards he returned to his self.

hopefully he doesn't retire after his contract is up. i remember they were saying that if he had lost the Pride OWGNP, he would retire.

made another highlight video. check it out.

just read about it.

I realy don't know if Liddell could out strike him.I mean his stance would throw Tony off for sure, and if Liddell could throw some decent kicks,He could, without a doubt in my mind, KO Tony. However,I think Liddell might have to much pride in him.If Tony started connecting with some huge bombs I think Liddell has too much pride to try for a shoot.Maybe a clinch. But that,in my mind would be a big maybe.

Liddell isn't a striker. he's not a world class kickboxer. he's a puncher more than a striker.

in a boxing match, he would lose. in mma, he would win.

Well the buzz on some MMA sites is that Nogueria will be fighting Heath Herring again at UFC 73, Don't understand why there putting Heath against him again..

yea i read about it yesterday.

i think it's bad for Herring and Nog.

Herring needs a win, and if he defeats Nog (which isn't likely to happen) he will be top 10 at least in HW division.

If Nog wins, then he wins. it's pointless. hopefully he wins via anaconda choke...again.

I think their trying to keep Herring from being a top HW at this point.Hope he wins though just to piss them off.I like big Nog alot though too.
