C'mon Cain. Don't **** it up like Carwin and KJ did. Someone has to stop evil from taking over.

I don't want to jinx Cain, so I will say Brock will probably win; still, I seriously hope Cain proves me wrong. I want Brock to lose big time.C'mon Cain. Don't **** it up like Carwin did.
Why do you want Brock to lose? Do you have something against him, or do you just like rooting for the underdog?

I've noticed that the commercials for the upcoming fight are saying that he might become the first Mexican Heavyweight Champion, when he isn't even a Mexican national. First Hispanic would be more appropriate. (Why do the promoters have to bring race into it?)
UFC has a huge Mexican fan base, and not just here in the states but in Mexico. It's a smart approach for promoting a fighter in this situation.
I mean, they did it with Karo, Manny, Florian and Roman when they had that one UFC event couple years back.
4 Armenian fighters on one card (Kenny is half or quarter Armenian), Los Angeles had tons of gatherings for that event.

Meh, living in the woods doesn't change that his behavior on camera is rather douche like.
Throwing up the middle finger to the audience, "I'm still the baddest mother ****er in the world," etc. Leave immature displays like that to Nick Diaz and his ilk. The ideal champion should be above that.
I'm surprised at you actually. I remember you saying you disliked arrogant fighters a little a while ago.

Well, if the audience is being hostile, so be it. Why should someone put up with it? Frankly, GSP is a little too meek.
See, Brock is only a dick in retaliation to an unfiendly reception. In one-on-one interviews (which are rare) he's actually pretty humble. Like I said, he's a recluse. If he lived in Bev Hills, was getting a DUI every weekend, and was a big scandal-machine, than yeah I'd agree with you about him. But he does a good job of keeping a low profile and is very guarded.

The crowd booed him because they already know him as an ass though. It's not like he hasn't had a chance to prove otherwise, so I don't see taunting the crowd as retaliation. I wouldn't really mind if he liked the spot light at all. I do mind showing disrepect to an opponent though. Trash talking Mir after the fight was over? WTF?
A lot of the MMA community, myself included, has fairly "old school" beliefs on humility and respect. I'd simply prefer to have a champion who makes less of a spectacle out of himself before and after the bell.
I do agree somewhat with you though. I don't think he'd like....kick puppies in his free time.

It seems like the mature and champion-like way to handle it. Crowd boos typically turn to cheers to when you demonstrate humility. I think he learned that in Carwin fight, but we'll see. Also, thou shalt not speak blasphemy of GSP. 😛The crowd booed him because they already know him as an ass though. They thought they knew him as an ass, because everyone was use to seeing him as a pro fake-wrestler; they all looked at him and only saw the character that the WWE had created. No one took him seriously as a mixed martial artist. So he had to prove them wrong and shut them up.
Its kinda like when a comedic slapstick actor tries to be a dramatic actor. No one ever takes him seriously until he plays a good role in a drama, only then do all the jokes end and people start showing respect. At first, people who crossover always face negative expectations.
I can see that, but it's not completely the fault of the audience. Brock certainly did carry over some of the pro-wrestling shenanigans with him. He's proved he can fight, but we'll have to see if the asshattery stops. He has changed some, but time will tell.
Oh and I just remembered. Is noone kind of excited about Jake Shields's entrance to UFC?
GSP has basically cleared out the WW division, but now we have Shields and Carlos Condit entering. It's not that I think GSP will lose, but they pose at least some moderate threat to him. Condit knocked out Hardy; that is something GSP could not do. Jake's striking is poor, but his wrestling and durability may allow him to hang with GSP.
Also, Condit/Shields vs Fitch/Alves/Koschek and a rematch between Shields and Condit themselves. I am quite happy right now. We might see a big change in WW rankings.
