Best fight ever!

Jose Aldo's standing didn't change after last night. Manny always has that puncher's chance, but let's not pretend like this isn't the same dude that got knocked out in 12 seconds by Rob Emerson in the UFC.Kudos to Aldo on the win, but it didn't mean much.
Aldo could have finished that fight in the first though.
And I'm not sure how you can say it doesn't mean much. Gamburyan was #2 ranked FW. This just shows that Aldo has cleaned out the division (technically).

Manny at 145 is hardly any different than he was at 155. He has power in his hands, but his technique is shit. He also has no wrestling credentials, so I thought him shooting for double legs was pretty hilarious.
Either way, the outcome was entirely predictable. I expected Aldo to win with almost no problems, and that's exactly what happened.
Leading up to this fight, Gamburyan beat Leonard Garcia (who hasn't legitimately won in 5 fights) and caught an overly aggressive Mike Brown coming in. So yeah, Aldo was the best featherweight in the world by far before the fight, and he still is after the fight. It's not like this fight catapulted him to the pest p4p fighter on the planet. Nothing has changed as far as I'm concerned. To act as if this proved much of anything is ridiculous.

THIS is the greatest fight ever. Great strategy overall from both fighters and great defensive ability.
Their only problems are a glass jaw and intolerance to pain XD

I agree that the manny fight isnt a big deal in and of itself. I was just re-emphasizing Aldos talent once again.

Majority of fighters in the 145 division would have been on their backs from the double. Aldo is just that damn good, and I agree, he probably could have finished the fight within 3 min of round 1.

You were observing this on the p4p scale, I was just considering the FW division. I mean, who else is there? Gamburyan was the last legitimate fighter in the division for Aldo.
As for the p4p perspective, I don't know where to put Aldo. I usually don't like p4p rankings.

Fair enough, I see where you're coming from. I've just never been sold on Manny as a threat.
