If Chuck continues to evolve like he did in the Silva fight he should get a rematch with Rampage. It's good to see him change up his style. He can't just counter punch and wait for the big punch anymore.
Although with the Rampage fight, he left his mouth wide open, and then got clocked. It would have been nicer to see how it would have turned out if Chuck didn't get hit there. 😬
The thing about the Silva fight I like, is that Chuck just plain out fought Silva... no big punch, just skill. And Silva still looked good, so no excuses. 🙂

Has anyone heard anything on Shogan? He better get back up to top form, because that Griffen fight was terrible...
i dont see Chuck ever holding the belt again. Silva actually has a better chance IMO. I can see Rampage holding the belt for a long time. Henderson in my opinion won their match but either way, i dont see anyone defeating Rampage as of right now. Griffin and Machida are probably the closest.
Sokoudjou vs Jardine must happen next.
Originally posted by Dr. Strangelovehe didn't change his style. it was Chuck being himself. He just did a few takedowns to score points and that spinning back fist was reminiscent of Henderson defeating Silva. Chuck just added more tools to his arsenal. very smart move. i gave round 1 to Chuck, round 2 to Silva and round 3 was Chuck due to takedowns. Great fight.

Originally posted by Mr. Slippyfisthe didn't leave his mouth wide open. i dunno what you mean. Chuck habitually leaves his head out and doesn't tuck his chin like Rampage does. Chuck went for the looping body punch and Rampage capitalized.

Originally posted by Mr. SlippyfistHe and his bro had a pretty bad week/and or month. 1st Robby Lawler beat Ninja's @ss in EliteXC(ninja's 1st title defense) & then Griffin beat up Shogun. I'm sure they'll both be back though

Ah. Didn't know about about the Ninja one... maybe they just weren't prepared. I hope both come back fully trained though, and ready to jump back in with anyone.
Originally posted by Healing ArtisanIt looked pretty open from what I recall. His head also bounced like a ball.

Just saying if he didn't get caught there, I think we would have actually seen who is "better" without excuses. Cause in all honesty, that didn't look like a bomb punch... just a looping hook.
Looked like he was working on his head placement for the Silva fight though...

LOL.
Yeah I would bet Kimbo takes this one, though Tank might just run through and land the big punch in the middle of a slug fest.IMO,if Tank can't win the fight in the first 3 minutes,he probably isn't going to win it,unless he decides to fight a very intelligent game.I don't know who Tank is training with, but considering Kimbo has got Bas in his corner,he's probably got a whole new aresenal of moves he's just waiting to unleash on Tank.
UFC 80:
the only two fights i care about
Penn vs Stevenson
Gonzaga vs Werdum
Penn vs Stevenson can go either way. if Penn doesn't finish Stevenson by the 3rd round, i see Stevenson getting the UD victory.
Gonzaga vs Werdum is going to be very entertaining. their first fight was a great win for Werdum. i got GG winning this time only based on how i saw Werdum's performance in teh octagon. i'll be cheering for Werdum.
