I pick BJ, but Sherk is damn tough. & I pick Lyoto

Penn has been a beast, but Sherk is a machine, he won't gas. I hope Silva gets a win man... I think he will put to much pressure on Jardine.

Holy shat! That was an awesome event.

Jardine had a good showing...

😖hifty:
Awesome!

time for me to showoff

F**k Machida! I hate when fighters run for most of the fight. Yeah he fought a smart fight by staying away from Tito but I wanted to see a real fight.

I wouldn't have laughed so hard at Jardine were it not for how damn cocky he looked during the staredown.

As for Machida, that's just the way fights. I like him, but I wouldn't ever watch one of his fights thinking "this will be war!"

How do you all feel about Bj's proposed rematch of GSP? It was a rediculuosly close match the last time they, but they have both improved since then. I see it ending similarly to the way it ended last time though. It would be very close with GSP having a slight edge.

It all went back to the stare down for me. He did a better job with the stare than with the actual fight. I cant wait for a Jardine/Liddell rematch!

Maybe BJ and GSP should defend their titles in their respective divisions a few time and if they still champions by the end of the year, let them fight. BJ didnt seemed to get tired on this fight maybe because there was no ground work done. I wonder if he goes up in weight to fight GSP if his stamina will hold.

As for machida, I guess I was expecting an explosive fight which are typical with Tito (win or lose).

i loved the Machida/Tito fight. i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. probably my second favorite fight of the night.

BJ has been working on his conditioning so he could last the later rounds. The Ortiz/Machida fight was exciting. I thought Tito had him when he got the triangle and then the arm bar locked in.

Don't know how he got out of that one. Lyoto is great, but I'd honestly like to see him be more agressive & woulda loved to see Tito get finished by him. In what weightclass did he beat Franklin?

Glad BJ won. I think he's better than M.Hughes & GSP as long as he's in condition. His boxing is remarkable & I like how he ties one arm up so you can't stop his RNchoke. Did that to Jens & tried it on Joe Stevenson

i think he beat Franlin at LHW, but i'm not too sure.

I can see BJ beating Matt again although BJ will work for it. However, I see GSP vs BJ ending with a slight edge towards GSP. It would be split decision close like it was last time, but I just see GSP having a slight edge in most cases. I see it as 6-4 in favor of GSP.

Crocop won't be fighting Jerome at the next DREAM event. Instead, Crocop will fight in a special rules grappling match with Ralek Gracie. The only way to win is via submission. If neither combatant submits the other by the end of the match, it is automatically declared a draw. No points will be used.

Thoughts?

Crocop should logically lose that one.
BJ was getting the better of GSP in the standup until he started getting tired IIRC. You might be right about GSP having a slight advantage though. He's too damn athletic & will never gas out or even slow down.

I wanna see them fight again. Either Franklin should move up or Lyoto should move down.

You guys think Wandy "caught Jardine cold" or that Wandy's just that much better than him?

Cro Cop won't get submitted, and he wont attempt any submissions. that's how i see it going. somewhat like Jacare vs Couture.

I just think Wandy is too good for Jardine. Jardine's gameplan was the same as what he did against Chuck. Bad Idea!

I thought Jardein would stay away from the leg kicks and go for jab + right straight combo's. Wandy is known for being vicious in that close region.

I hear that on saturday night on Spike TV, they are going to show the Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva fight.

Yeah. Elite XC makes it's CBS premier on Sat. @9pm & Faber v. Pulver is Sun. @9pm on Versus

Im looking forward to the Faber v. Pulver match. I think Pulver could take him.

The Kimbo Slice vs Thompson fight was alright nothing to special. But Kimbo was way over hyped (i was rooting for him) he was gassed in the 2nd round. He really needs to work on his cardio(watch the interview after the fight ended and you know what i mean) and of course his ground game needs to improve. But it was his 3rd mma fight I heard that he and the winner of the very first fight of the night(cant remember his name) got into an argument at the press conference after the show ended.

I think they were stopping fights too early because they were on CBS. Kimbo had the guy hurt and was probably going to KO him, but the guy'd been hurt b4 and recovered. WTF was up w/that guy's ear?!?! Nastiest ear I've ever seen!
The show was sponsored by Capcom & they showed the new SF4 ad. It was awesome. Ken kix A$$!!!

Gina was tested by Kaitlin Young. There's clips of Young from this tourney in 2007. She cut thru that shit like a hot knife thru butter. The ladies always seem to have exciting fights. Waiting to see Gina & young battle the likes of Shayna Bazler & Tara Larosa & Debbie PurcelliYouTube video
