Didn't go as planned, so he has 2 options:

1. Retire
2. Defend LW Belt against Florian.

Definitely, and he has a pretty good chance. Florian muay thai may be somewhat problematic for Penn. Plus, Florian is adapting the Machida elusiveness. I don't see FLorian losing anytime soon.

The WEC is getting rid of its welterweight division and replacing it with a flyweight (125) division. Obviously the top welterweights like the champ Carlos Condit, will go to the UFC. From what I understand Condit will make his UFC debut on Fight Night 18 on April 1.

Strikeforce just got a multi year tv deal on showtime after aquiring the assets of ProElite/EliteXC, I'm excited that there is now an alternative to the UFC that we know is in a good financially, since with Affliction you never know if they can make it to their next PPV.

Jon Jones has potential to be a champion. Easily. His greco roman has transitioned perfectly into MMA. I'm impressed. Bonnar is no joke.

Agree. Bonnar looked really rusty though... I give him props on his toughness. That elbow would've finished a lot of fighters.

Florian is finishing the shit out of everybody. & he's doing it quick. Penn took about 2 rounds to get Stevenson outta there. Kenny got him outta there in the 1st. Now that they're back in the same class, I wanna see Kenny fight Sanchez again. Kenny needs the chance to get some payback.

Sanchez at LW is going to be problematic for alot of guyz, especially the smaller LW's. Diego is going to run right threw them.

I'd like to see Sanchez vs Griffin.

Yeah. Not taking away anything from Jon of course, but Bonnar hadn't fought in over year when he fought Jon.

I thought Bonnar looked great though. Took punishment, but survived.

I like what Dana said after the fight. He basically told Bonnar to not worry about the loss cuz he and Griffin are the reason why UFC got so big. He wont be getting cut.

By the way, 50 fighters are going to be cut. Matt Arroyo was one announced today. Many more to come.

I've never seen Jet Li or Jackie Chan in a martial arts fight, so, I can't really say. I don't know how much knowledge they have in the field of martial arts.

In real combat, who knows they might defend themselves fairly well.

But those are just assumptions, logically, taking the fighter our of his element, in this case being Kung Fu etc...the MMA artist gets the W.
