I read it, but forgot what happened, how did he beat flash and WW again? I remember he froze plastic man, made Aquaman afraid of water, did something to GL's ring or some such, injected some burning things in MM, but the other 2 I don't remember (superman was some gay kryptonite hybrid)

I realize that, but do you really think the rest of the JLA was written to their fullest potential in that run? Honestly?

Batman could have something wired in there loved ones and ready to detinate if he dies.
