Some of those situations where Vanderjagt missed are Mannings fault. In the Pitt game he should have at least got him in the middle of the field or cut down the distance, but he felt the need to take a few shots towards the endzone instead of actually helping your kicker out. Same with the NE game, if Manning hadn't got sacked then sureley Vanderjagt would have made the FG.

And I say again a guy with that talent should make those fieldgoals.
It's all hindsight peyton should have done this or this when it comes down to it your a kicker when your given a oppurtunity to end a game to get to the superbowl and you miss it by at least 20 yards to the right not even close.
You know in a perfect world all kickers would like 30 yard kicks this is real life that kick was a joke. peyton did his job he put the most accurate kicker ever in position to do his job and he blew you can blame the play calling all you want thats just a cop out.

Yes the QB could always get a kicker closer. No its not the QB's fault when the kicker misses a makeable kick. If they were outside of the kickers range and they didnt worry about getting him closer first then maybe. But once they are in his range its not their job to be babysitting him its their job to try to win the game. I do think the colts should have tried to get closer and not just bomb it right to the endzone, but that doesnt matter the kick has to be made.
Its partly Peyton's fault, he was the one calling the plays. If he knew Vanderjagt wasn't clutch then he should have tried to do something to help him out. I believe it was a 49 yard kick, I cant remember but that seems about right, and he wasn't even in the middle of the field. A simple 5-7 yard completion would have done the trick. And Forum weren't you the one who said Dennis Greene should have been fired because of his play calling, when Arizona could have beat CHI. Two straight runs with Edge when they should have let Leinart throw to get the first, or put Rackers in better position. The play calling was at fault on that drive, just like the Pitt-Indy game.
something not everyone knows. Manning doesnt exactly call the plays. The coordinator sends in 3 plays to him, and he picks what he wants and makes adjustments to them on the line. But the main thing is if the coaches wanted him going short and making the FG 5 yards easier theyd of made that clear to him. If they wanted him to try to score if he could theyd make that clear.
ouch this goes with my comments in the best QB ever poll/thread Brady just got a little pressure on him.. he scrambled away from it fine but then WAY overthrew his WR who was well covered and it was an easy pick for INDY on a drive where NE was moving the ball well. Bad decision by Brady. And now Manning is able to buy time by running under pressure and hit harrison right on the money for 30+ yards on 3rd and 15. Superbowls or not thats a prime example of why manning is the better QB than Brady.
and the refs blow it again. That was pass interference but the refs get the call wrong and the colts dont get 1st and goal on the 1, and end up settling for a FG.
oh man the refs just screwed the colts a second time, because Brady did not get a first down.. and how the hell did they call that a first so quickly? that was total bs HAHAHA yea and the replay officials of course once again are useless. If the colts lose this game its on the refs at this point. Two HUGE mistakes.

My favourite is Belicheck....running all the way down the field to complain, gets on the field while the play is on and is there for atleast two plays on a call that is blatent. They're was no doubt about it that it was intereference, or illegal contact,
And then the first down. Brady didnt get it, but that isnt what I found wrong with it. My problem is that the head ref didnt even take the ****ing chains out to see if it was a first down. How is that possible?

Yeah. Even without the rings, he's #2 behind Peyton the last few years.
A friend of mine who has been doing fantasy for a number of years told me he has had Brady a couple times the last few years, and it's nearly as comforting with Brady starting as Peyton (and without having to blow a first-round pick)....not quite as explosive, but every bit as consistent and reliable.
