Ball at Colts' 4-yard line, 1st and goal for the Cowboys. While Parcells has used all his timeouts getting the 'Boys in scoring position, Dungy has mismanaged his timeouts. Both teams have zero.
From a coach's standpoint, what exactly do you call if you're Parcells?
Now Jim Nance would say, right off the bat, get the points! But it may not be that simple.Considering the play clock is 40 seconds, what is your gameplan? And to add a twist, do you tell your players to purposively not score on 1st and 2nd down? Lots of factors.
I think many coaches would run, throw, throw, and throw, which if you scored on 2nd down would leave Manning about 65 seconds to try to get a GW field goal. When you think about it, the decision might come down to this: Is the probability of scoring a TD on 2 plays (3rd and 4th down) greater than stopping Peyton Manning's team with over a minute to work with, or possibly even a minute and forty!
I would just do what I do sometimes in Madden when I cant stop the computers or online opponents offense. Just run it twice, running the clock down both times and on 3rd down I would throw it to T.O. , same with fourth if neccessary. Works like a charm, since in Madden and in real life he cant be stopped.

Yep, can't be stopped. Just like that Eagles game a couple of weeks ago. 🙄

i consider the underdog the teams which are the underdogs. Its based on points. Denver and Indy are both the underdogs. Denver is a 2.5 point dog and indy is a 3 point dog.
well Cinic was just screwed out of HUGE game. Once again the refs would have done a better job by just choking on their whistle since they clearly dont know how to use it. I would need to see the 3rd down play again, but I thought there was pass interference on that one too, but it was 100% interference on 4th down.
😆 I was watching the Cowboys game. And I said to myself, watch this blocked kick. And sure enough, the kick was blocked. Now the Redskins have a chance to win it with a field goal.
EDIT: HE HIT IT! LMAO.
6 seconds left, a 35 yard field goal for the Cowboys to win it, ends up turning into a 47 yard field goal for the Redskins to win it. 😆
Im a bit pissed off, they should have challeneged that safety, he clearly got out of the endzone because his knee never touched the ground until he got out.
I like when teams go for 2 but even I thought it was a bad call before they didnt convert, it was only the 1st quarter. If they had just kicked the XP then they could have sat on the ball late in the fourth instead of attempting the FG.
True, I also believe it wasnt a safety unless he had an arm down. My point is that Parcells should of challenged the call. If it was overturned, which I think was possible, then I think Dallas wins.
But all the fault lies on Parcells.
Forum, I wonder why you called Vanderjagt, Vanderjackoff, why does he get you soo pissed off?
hes just a joke. I mean hes a kicker and hes got an ego as big as TO and chad johnson. THose guys might talk so much but at least they perform. (Although TO had a HUGE drop today). Im not a colts fan or anything but he cost them a lot. And manning had problem with him long before that pitt game. Vanderjagt liked to talk way too much and hes very proud of his record FG % too bad he cant be counted on when it matters. 2 years ago he missed a FG in the opening game vs NE that if made the AFC championship game would have been @ Indy instead of @ NE which we all know is a big difference. I mean come on he missed a 20some yarder vs Tenn this year...
A few days ago I kicked a 25 yarder on my 3rd try.. and that was my 3rd try ever we were screwing around on a field I had never tried kicking anythign before. Im not saying its even similar to a game scenario but hes a pro and "the best ever" hes just lame.
heres a nice example of the 2 pt thing. Pitt just scored to cut it to a 5 point lead. Now a lot of (dumb) people would say go for 2 make it a FG difference!. Pitt did the right thing (yea botankus im complimenting pitt) by going for the 1. It is still the 3rd quarter, and you take every point you can get cause there is just too much time and you never know whats going to happen.
-EDIT just as i compliment pitt the refs feel the need to give them a gift. That was not even close to an interception. Hopefully they at least get the review right.
