yea lordsidious is over reacting. Now we all know I am no fan of their offense, and I am no fan of Mcnair. But I see every ravens game living where I do. They were fairly efficient all year just rarely dazzling. You can tell McNair is old too because at times he was just terrible, but at times when it really counted he could make the 1 or 2 big plays they needed. They need fresh legs in the backfield and after 1 more year at the most a new QB.

That was one thing about McNair that always stuck out. No matter what he did during the game, whether it was throwing balls in the stands or getting his foot stepped on by the center, he would ALWAYS lead that big drive at the end of the game to set up the winning score. He was clutch.

I speak for the whole city/team when I say that Pittsburgh cannot wait for the guy to retire.

McNair is a loser, Just like Peyton Manning. I will give Peyton his do when he finally wins a superbowl.

yep thats Martyball for ya. 😆 I should have known to have faith in the patriots.I was thinking THIS time it might be different with Marty and the chargers. That they had enough talent that they would be able to overcome Martys stupidity and get to the superbowl but as usual,Martys coaching style cost them the game.that headbutt personal foul against that charger player late in the game- which kept the patriots drive alive and as a result gave them a touchdown when they had sacked Brady for a loss on third down and stopped the patriots is a reflection of the head coach and the way he coaches and the reason why the Chargers will never got to the superbowl with Marty. 😆 Marty the moron as always, also cost them the game with his moronic decision to go for it on 4th down and 11 instead of kicking the field goal.Instead of taking the field goal and the points,he goes for it,Rivers gets sacked, and the patriots get the ball in good field postition and get what turns out to be the deciding wiining field goal out of it because of martys stupidity. 😆 I should have known Martys mind would freeze up in the playoffs again and that would cost the chargers the game. 😆

The Ravens stink. No kind of offense whatsoever. My 8yr. old nephew can run Baltimore's horridly offense. Any QB can hand the ball off. When they got McNair they're offense should have improved instead it is the same old tired offense.

Agreed.Their offense has been inconsistant all year long and it cost them in the playoffs. They only made it as far as they did because their defense was so dominating during the regular season but once the playoffs started,it wasnt so dominatiing. That was shocking seeing them allow Manning and the colts march down the field after they had them pinned down at what was it the one? thats just not your typical Raven defense to allow that to happen. 😱 I agree with Dwarf, the colts have just gotten lucky playing two teams where the quarterbacks play was off entering the game so their defense only had to worry about the run.as I said before, holding the kansas city clowns to just a few field goals is harldy impressive, the clowns ALWAYS choke in playoff games just like Marty does. 😆 well their luck is about to run out.Brady and the Patriots offense had a much more difficult challenge against them with the chargers -who are a much more physical defense than they will find against the COLTS defense, easy pickings. and manning as usual,is choking in the playoffs and this time the colts defense wont be there to bail him out.

My prediction is Patriots and Saints in the superbowl with patriots winning. What I would LIKE to see happen is the same teams in the superbowl except have the saints win the superbowl.

Your kidding me. So basically, your telling me that Payton is nothign without the championships and all the records, wins, and achievements he has had, it doesnt matter and wont gain respect because he hasnt won a superbowl.

So I guess, in your mind,

So your saying, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Jim McMahon and Mark Rypian are better than Manning ?

and Marino

Of course.

Me personally, unless the guy has won a ton of Superbowls like Brady or Aikman, one superbowl win means shit to me. It's nice, but its not the barometer for greatness.

I always here quotes like, " so and so QB wont be remembered for his records but if he won the Superbowl he will be remember". I say bullshit. Who will remember Trent Dilfer, or Brad Johnson in 20 years, but peopel will remember Marino and Manning for the next 50 years.

I'm with Smas on this once. Actually, that kind of thinking should be more delegated to coaches than individual QB's.

Layment's terms:
The Super Bowl victory shouldn't 100% make the coach's career by any stretch of the imagination, but it should have more weight than on a Quarterback.

To me Peyton will be the next Elway. Whereas Brady is the next Montana. John won his superbowl but nobody forgot Montana's championships.

Champions go home and do the prom queen. Period.

I totally agree with you.

Championsips are won by great teams, but they're is a luck factor involved also.

Just because you are great doesn't make you a champ. Look at Peyton Manning, Dan Fouts and Dan Marino-ALL GREAT QBs but nothing to show for it.

I think you meant to say Marino right? Because Elway finally won a couple superbowls remember? If thats what you meant I agree.Manning until he wins a superbowl will be remembered in the same way That Rich Gannon and Dan Marino are.Very good quarterbacks who put up some impressive numbers and statistics during the regular season but choked in the big game and could not get the job done.Yeah I see Manning as this Era's Dan Marino and Brady as this Era's Joe Montana.Manning has that chance to erase that legacy this sunday but until he does,he will be remembered in the same way Marino is.

I understand what you're saying but; No way in hell is Peyton the next Elway. Tom Brady might be considered the next Montana, especially if he wins another ring.

Yeah surely he had to make a mistake because no way in hell is Manning the next Elway.Next Marino maybe but not Elway.

Try this. Maybe the Atlanta Falcons should have Matt Shaub their starting qb, then have Michael "cocaine" Vick there starting tailback. Maybe then the Falcons will win games.

I think the point was that he can see Manning being the next Elway, because he thinks Manning will eventually win the Superbowl at the end of his career.

I think he has a very valid point.

You can also go the other way, saying just because you won an championship doesnt make you great.

If he wins another ring, he would surpass Montana in my mind considering he had to win 4 rings with different players each time.

'how about their great careers? Football is a team sport. A QB shouldn'tbe less of a player because his team didnt win it, and he shouldn't always be considered a greater one because his team did win.

Elway won two.

Peyton Manning will be the next Peyton Manning. He's a great quarterback that you can't really tag a name on to. Saying he's the next this or the next that.... it's bullshit, really.

Peyton Manning is already leading a hall of fame career, and a superbowl or two would just be the icing on the cake. He's already broken the single season TD record (49). And for 6 straight seasons, he's thrown for over 4,000 yards.

So all his critics can kiss my ass.
