He had Crumpler and finneran who were both very good targets. Finneran was just like Jurevicious was for Hasselbeck in seattle. They also had 2 young guys in Jenkins and White (roddy not dez) White was still pretty raw but he could help stretch the field. The type of offense they run also utilizes the guys in the backfield and Dunn and Griffith both did well. 6 guys had at least 20 catches that year (05) and all 6 caught at least 1 TD.

Now I know I already said this but you musta skipped it. This was on top of the best run game in the nfl, a great return game and a defense that maybe small but makes a lot of big plays.

No he didnt have chad johnson and harrison but those guys prolly wouldnt like playing with VIck because he isnt going to get a the ball enough its not his style or ATL's. I am sorry if you are blind and can only see SUPERSTARS! but the bottom line is vick has had some talent around him. Now David Carr? Him I will still let blame his team, Vick however has no such excuse.

ps. dont get me wrong I am not saying a better WR wouldnt help but Vick playing better would help even more.

How you going to play better, if you don't have the talent around you. It's like being a running back with no line or a WR with no QB. Don't sit up here and bash the guy then contradict yourself. You just mentioned a bunch of no name guys. Sure I exploited Madden with them when I picked the Falcons but they are hardly decent in real life. His #1 is a tight end, his #2 is really a #4. Hell, I'm pretty sure I would be inaccurate if I knew I would have to run around for 10 seconds while being chased by linemen and linebackers, all the while knowing that my receivers aren't open and my only reliable target is being doubled teamed.

If you were to take Harrison and Wayne off the Colts, Peyton would have no one to throw to. Thing about it is, you saying he is pretty good with those other guys, but that's only when Harrison and Wayne are taking the pressure off them. Crumpler doesn't have that, Vick doesn't have that and that is why the Falcons fail and Vick's numbers are misleading. He IS one of the leagues best players. I would take him over Hasselbeck any day of the weak. Put him on the Colts and they go to the Super Bowl every single year.

And at under 30 minutes, they weren't even in the top half of the league in average time of possession. Not to mention a whopping scoring average of under 19 points a game.

Teams with the best run game just do not do those things without consistent implosion in the passing game.

hahaha thats a great idea. I remember once on Letterman when he was talking to some football player about his idea to use 2 balls. Once a game each team could bring in a second QB and a second ball and run 2 plays at once.

His ability to run. That what makes him so dangerous, but teams can now zero in on stopping that because he has no receivers to throw the ball to and the system he was playing in was awful. Didn't he just break a record this past season?

Well, the entire Atlanta fan base (all 20 of them) has finally stopped worshipping him after his play on the field, his itchy middle finger, and now his police blotter greatest hits. Even ESPN has grown tired of kissing his a$$ and moved back to Tom Brady and Co. Who else is left besides people who see his name on a jersey at a shopping mall and automatically think he's the second coming of Joe Montana?

Go to any Falcons board and see how much of his fan base he still has.

How about I go to Atlanta, my hometown, where all my family and friends still live and get migraines every time they talk to me about the Falcons seasons?

That's a fair assessment. I'm just saying that no one is oblivious to the fact that he's not getting the job done. After that no-show against the Eagles in the 2004 Championship game, his intimidation factor has dwindled.
