Derek Anderson is a Kelly Holcomb type, a flash of brilliance one week then a flash of retardation the next. Our defense, as Denny Green would say, "Are who we thought they were." Which is, nothing special and downright terrible most of the time.
I can say this though, from what I've seen our offensive line is gelling, Joe Thomas is going to be a great left tackle for us, Jamal Lewis is a great change from Droughs, also, Winslow and Edwards are becoming the key guys we need them to be.
I was rooting hard for the Seahawks yesterday. After that Burleson drop, I almost flew through the roof. Then he comes back and makes a really tough grab on the next series. Anytime I get to see the Bengals live up to their "Nobody in the league can beat us except ourselves (and yet we keep missing the playoffs)," I'm happy.
What was funny was that in the fourth quarter, I told my wife, "Remember that Steelers/Bengals game we went to in 2002, that guy (pointing at T.J. Housch) fumbled a punt return in the fourth quarter to set up Bettis' winning run."
Then, a few minutes later, there go the Bengals again fumbling a return in a crucial moment in a road game.

Leinart was playing against arguably the best defense in the NFL, and he's in his second year. He's still learning, but a QB in this stage should not have his head coach pulling him from the game. If he's your guy, stick with him. This is how you know that the head coach doesn't know what he's doing. You will never see another coach who knows his shit doing what Whisenhunt did yesterday. Way to build confidence for your QB pal. Not contrary to popular belief, the Cards are not a Super Bowl team, yet, and Leinart is not Peyton Manning, yet. They have to leave him in in these situations to let him learn. That is the way it works. Nothing positive will come out of taking your "guy" out in a situation like yesterday.
Did the Colts take Manning out when he was playing poorly early in his career? Did the Giants? There are other examples, I just can't think of them. The road to success does not start with being yanked from a game. If there is even whispers of a QB controversy in Arizona, Whisenhunt should be fired on the spot.
And Smas, I know you have to kidding with that one. Take Brohm in next years draft? 😆 😆 Now you know damn well that isn't going to happen. Not even a 1% chance the Cards would even be THINKING about doing that.

Is it just as crazy as the Chargers taking Rivers when they had Brees. Stranger things have happened in the NFL and the Cardinals taking Brohm could be an possibility. Wisehunt could hate Lienart, trade him, or release him and then take Brohm. It wont happen, but its not completely out there.

I think he is overrated too.
Even if he gets 30 carries a game, he still is rushing for an average below 3.0. That's shit.
But as an reciever, he is good.
Good roleplayer, and maybe, could become what people said he was going to become. But I would rather have Joseph Addai over Reggie Bush anyday.
