I think he is overrated too.Even if he gets 30 carries a game, he still is rushing for an average below 3.0. That's shit.
But as an reciever, he is good.
Good roleplayer, and maybe, could become what people said he was going to become. But I would rather have Joseph Addai over Reggie Bush anyday.
You don't understand do you? He only is getting 10 carries a game. Average doesn't matter when you are getting such a low volume of carries. I believe the only time he got 20+ carries in a game, he lit up the Giants. I'm not sure about that though. He might have had more games with 20+ carries, but most likely not.
Deuce goes out, and instead of handing the ball off to Bush, he puts ****ing Stecker in in the back field and gives him the majority of the carries...what the ****!? I'm sorry, but this guy is a dumbass.
And Bush is a guy who can carry the ball 20-25+ times. Sean Payton just doesn't give him the opportunity because they have Deuce...and now apparently Stecker. You can't point out a guys average when he's only getting 10 carries, that is unfair. I hope to god Payton doesn't give Stecker the majority of the carries now that Deuce is out. That makes absolutely no sense.
I watched Bush at USC, every single game and I know for a fact that he is a great running back, with superior vision. Not just a fast back who can catch screen passes. But he's not getting the chance to show what he can do.
And you would seriously take Addai over Bush any day? Like he isn't benefiting from the colts offensive line? Like he isn't in a better situation than Bush? You name one skill set Addai has over Bush. And remember, this is a guy running behind a great offensive line, with a great QB, great receivers, and is getting 25+ carries a game.
Like I said before, you give Bush that many carries a game and he will put up the numbers. But that isn't going to happen. Bush and Deuce COMBINED haven't even carried the ball 25 times in a single game this season. Anyone can average 3 yards per carry on only 10 attempts.
And what is this about role player? He's a playmaker, a highly talented playmaker who isn't getting enough touches to do anything besides have 35 total yards.
My face lit up when Deuce went out, first time I was actually happy someone got injured(I'm sorry Deuce). 😆 Bush got 2 goal line TD's, didn't get me my 25 points though. 🙁 I wish Sean Payton wasn't an idiot.

LOL get the hell out of here. They beat Seattle, don't try to take that win away from them. "other than a fluke fumble" It happened, get over it, you guys lost. Fumbles are the cause for a lot of losses during the course of the season, I know you guys have had your fair share of luck over the past few seasons.Leinart was playing against arguably the best defense in the NFL, and he's in his second year. He's still learning, but a QB in this stage should not have his head coach pulling him from the game. If he's your guy, stick with him. This is how you know that the head coach doesn't know what he's doing. You will never see another coach who knows his shit doing what Whisenhunt did yesterday. Way to build confidence for your QB pal. Not contrary to popular belief, the Cards are not a Super Bowl team, yet, and Leinart is not Peyton Manning, yet. They have to leave him in in these situations to let him learn. That is the way it works. Nothing positive will come out of taking your "guy" out in a situation like yesterday.
Did the Colts take Manning out when he was playing poorly early in his career? Did the Giants? There are other examples, I just can't think of them. The road to success does not start with being yanked from a game. If there is even whispers of a QB controversy in Arizona, Whisenhunt should be fired on the spot.
And Smas, I know you have to kidding with that one. Take Brohm in next years draft? 😆 😆 Now you know damn well that isn't going to happen. Not even a 1% chance the Cards would even be THINKING about doing that.
one i wasnt crying about it saying az didnt deserve the win. I said if it wasnt for a fluke fumble (as in something az had no control over) they would be 0-3. And you keep saying if hes your guy you cant do that to him? Whisenhunt didnt draft Leinart how do you know hes his guy? Just because he was there when he got there doesnt mean its Leinarts job 100%. And Warner didnt seem to have too much trouble passing on the ravens, neither did kellen clemens actually.

On a team like the colts I would take Addai over bush, on a lot of teams i would actually. However if I was just starting a new team and had to take one I would take Bush. Addai is a better pure RB, hell Bush wasnt even the best RB on his team at USC. But Bush is more explosive, more versatile, and has a huge upside. However I do disagree saying he could be a full time feature back. I dont think he has any chance of ever being a 25+ carry a game guy. I think he would have a lot of fumbles, struggle going between the tackles, and also get too many negative runs. Your feature back needs to be someone who can get 3-4 tough yards everytime and even on the ones where theres nothing available get back to the line and fall forward to not take a loss. Bush I think is too immature and trys to make too much happen and would end up putting them in too many 2 and 15 because he tried to stretch out a play that had no chance instead of just getting back to the line.
Bush was the best running back on USC. It was not Lendale White, I don't know WHO told you that and got you believing that lie. Bush did the best at the running back position. I watched all of his games, but even a person just viewing his highlights can see most of the big plays came from carries. Not receiving, not returning, carries.
And I don't understand your logic here. If he got 25 carries a game he would lose too much yardage and fumble too much? While I will admit that he does tend to avoid the little holes that the Saints some times give him, he is still learning. But I promise you those holes are not nearly as wide as the ones the Colts open for Addai and if Bush were getting running lanes like that, his numbers would be far greater than Addai's. Who is deemed more a pure runner than Bush because he gets 15 more carries a game and huge running lanes.
Yeah, I would take Addai over Bush anyday. You dont need an explosive runner to win superbowls. You need an RB who can see the holes developing, can make people miss and can lower his shoulder to get the first down.
From what I've seen from Addai is what I would want for a team. Bush is explosive and has the speed, but Addai gets shit done.
Look at Alexander. He doesnt have the greatest speed and doesnt make people miss all that very much, but he gets the job done because he can read defense and find holes easy. Bush doesnt seem to do that very often.

Yeah I thought what Shanahan did last week was BS. I put the blame on the officials since they know ahead of time that the team wants a timeout. Shouldn't let them snap the ball if that is the case.
As far as the MNF game went last night, this was one of those rare occasions where I had zero interest in it except for my office pool. Thanks to the late INT my 46 total points was the winner, beating out someone who picked 38.
Drinks are on me this week.
So here is the reason that Kurt Warner game into the game. It was planned before the game even started and Leinart knew about it. They had designed a full series of no huddle offense for Warner to come in for 1 series to run. The issue came up when Warner ran it so well and Leinart had been terrible so far that they just left him in. Leinart will start week 4 but Warner is supposed to get playing time again.
Oh and Deuce tore is ACL, yes Stecker will get carries but Bush will get a lot more too, time to prove he can be the man.

Role player, as in a player you can use to get great match-ups and exploit those match-ups for big plays.
Last year, the Saints did come under the radar so many teams weren't expecting them to be one game away from the SB. But, how was Bush used last year? He was lined up at WR mostly or primarily caught passes out of the backfield. You will disagree with me, but Bush should not be a primary back, he can do more damage by catching the ball.
The Saints have, well HAD, Deuce and do you really think Peyton is going to ignore a solid back like Deuce so Bush can have 25 to 30 carries a game?
That's what made the Saints great last year, the ability to pound the rock with Deuce then get the big play from Bush.
I don't know if Payton has it in him to call more run plays. He couldn't he even call a simple run play on a 4th and 1, instead he calls a deep playaction pass play, he is a genius!
Their deep passing game hasn't been working all season long, but it's all of a sudden supposed to start working on a 4th and 1?

Only one game in his whole NFL career with 20 carries.
120 yards and a TD. Saints win a blow out.
That would be pretty ridiculous. Bush can carry the load, he did that even splitting carries with White at USC. Just because he has split basically his whole career doesn't mean he can't do it by himself. He won the Heisman for a reason. He did some amazing things in college and has showed flashes of it in the NFL. I just don't see any logic behind saying he can't carry the load. 20 carries a game that should be a given, and 5-6 catches out of the back field. That is what should happen in the upcoming games.
That way, the Saints will have gotten their ground game going, they could use Bush as an effective decoy and it would definitely open up playaction passes and those big plays to Henderson(he's still alive isn't he?) and Colston.

We must have watched different games then when both White and Bush were in college. Even ESPN and Foxsports agree, Bush cannot carry the load. So far after three games Reggie hasn't shown too much brilliance. Also Brees isn't looking the same way he did last season either. Theres a lot of logic behind this because Bush simply isn't THAT guy. Maybe if he were bigger, but since he isn't, Payton is going to have come up with a better game plan.

Heisman Trophy means nothing in the NFL.

He hasn't shown much brilliance? Even Adrian Peterson is averaging over 20 attempts a game. And he is a rookie. So far I have him as my leading candidate for rookie of the year. But if he was only averaging 9 rushing attempts a game, like Bush, then their numbers would be the same, but Bush would most likely be averaging more than 90 yards a game on the ground if he was getting 21 rushing attempts. How do you expect a player to show "brilliance" only getting that many carries? I don't care what a damn "analyst" says. I know what I have seen, and I know what Bush is capable of. You have no proof to back of the statement that he can't carry the load, because the only game where he has had 20 carries, he had 120 yards and a TD. Those ARE good numbers aren't they?
I really don't understand what people are expecting out of Bush. Especially the Saints. You have to give the guy more attempts if you expect him to break off big plays and put up gaudy numbers. And the people saying that he has been a disappointment, what kind of numbers do you want? 9 carries and 200 yards? Even if he averages 5 yards per carry, that is only 45 yards.
