Luck. 😛 How do you explain the tons of people who said they wouldn't, who said the Giants wouldn't, who said the Cowboys will, who said the Chargers would, and so on and so fourth? One can make a guess, based on that team's history or general skill, but again "Any given Sunday". There's too many variables.

LT is a coward pure and simple. To not play in the biggest game of his career is beyond me. Whether or not he would've made a differnece remains to be seen, but he kept on playing like his TWO INJURED teammates played. Who knows what would've happened if the Chargers were completely healthy. From what I heard during the game, it was Norv's call to keep him out. So don't blame LT and call him a coward, blame Norv for not letting him play.
But I don't think he would have been close to his usual self, even if he was in.
I don't blame Turner, I blame Tomlinson, he is and will always be a coward until he wins a superbowl. To not play in this big a game which sends you to the supwerbowl after you win and you don't play, I call him exactly what he is.. Also wasn't it LT and Rivers who were running off at the mouth after they beat the Titans and after they beat the Colts and didn't LT say he was going to play a lot.. I place the blame on who I feel deserves it. Its my opinion like you have yours.
LT had to run around a hell of a lot more than Puddles, and both had knee injuries, so it's moot point.

Its a moot point only because the Chargers lost. Yes I have played sports. I have played with a hyperextended knee. Have you? There is absolutely no guarantee that the Chargers will ever be in this positiona gain so each and everyone that should've played, should've exactly done just that and played. You can't call Rivers a quitter because he played and people thought he should've...
Don't worry, this guy also thinks the Lakers are going to the Finals.
Don't worry since this thread is about football and not basketball, but we all have our own opinions.
I read something interesting today.
It was an article about Tom Brady on how he is percieved to be the best playoff QB to ever play the game because he won three Superbowls.
It was interesting because the writer basically used Brady's QB rating and compared it to all other QB's ratings that have over 150 attempts and he ranks 7th all time and 5th compared to active QB's.
He is not saying he shouldnt be discussed as being one of the best, but should not be considered one of the best based off his rings.
I tend to agree. Brady is one of the better QB's to play in the past ten years but I still think he gets alot of credit for his wins because he is on a really good team for the past 5 years. Last week, the Pats should of lost because of Brady, but they didnt because of the team. I would go on to say that Brady isnt the best post season QB but Belicheck is the best postseason coach.

Randy Moss doesnt hit women, he said so himself.Actually I believe him. Women are vindictive , money hungry cretins.
so your saying because Moss SAYS he doesnt you automatically accept that as truth? you cant be serious? Please dont tell me your also one of those naive people who just because Barry Bonds SAYS he didnt knowingly take steroids that you believe him as well?

Congrats to both Patriots and Giants for their victories.Chargers were mean with their offense.
Patriots were taking the punches.....
....yet they STILL WIN?!?!?! Lost for words but feeling so good the Pats overcame the chargers. Amazing!
How can the Giants beat the Packers?! HOW!????
Missing two field goals and win it in overtime. What happen to Favre? Wasn't this the team people had picked to play the Pats in the Superbowl? Just baffles the mind.
Looking forward to the Superbowl!
yeah cant wait to see this superbowl.Every superbowl the patriots have been in has been decided by a field goal.Dont expect this game to be any different either especially since in their last game,it was decided by a field goal as well.I expect this to be a great superbowl and just like their last meeting as well with the game coming down to the wire with again the patriots pulling it out by one field goal. You got to remember,Brady has the superbowl experience of playing in te biggest game of the year and doesnt get nervous. This being Eli's first experience,I expect him to be nervous and make some mistakes. To his credit,in the playoffs he didnt make any mistakes and played well but his run will come to an end in the superbowl. The Patriots will remember what they did wrong in their last meeting to get so far behind them and will make adjustments and not make those mistakes again.Give Tom Brady two weeks to prepare and thats bad news for the other team.
Arnt we starting to have that already?
Wes Welker should be called the "Brandon Stokley" clone. He is a great player but in no way Welker would be nearly as good if he was any teams Number 1 option. He is purely effective as an slotback reciever and if Moss went down, I dont think he goes over 1000 yards.
True.
In my opinion though, something is just off when you go to all out shotgun spread when you have an open cold weather team.
When Toronto gets a team and a new stadium, I pray to the football gods the owners make an outdoor stadium with grass. You'll be having ice bowls game every two weeks. Talk about the 12th man.

I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that the Pats are going to come out gunning and win in a blowout. And this just in from the Captain Obvious department: Prepare for over half the league to copycat the Pats' approach in 2008. Bye, bye, power backs. Hello, Wes Welker clones.
even though every superbowl the patriots have been in has been decided by a field goal? you think that will change in THIS one then?
