So basically, it's advantage: both sides of the ball.
Read on another message board that the NFL has gotten rid of the stiff arm. Now it's subject to a 15-yard penalty if hands to the facemask.
In further news, the NFL has decided that the only physical contact teams will make with each other will occur at the coin flip. That should reduce the number of injuries.
lol, I heard them talking about the stiff arm on the afternoon blitz. They made it very clear that the stiff arm will still be allowed. However RB's will not be able to maul guys in the face and jerk their heads around(like they have been able to get away with in the past) The idea they said was to make it a level playing field for backs and defensive players.

Damn, that's going to reduce Hines' YAC average. He may net 50 receiving yards on the season after the penalty yards are deducted.
Vick is playing both sides!
As in being all time QB in the prison yard...

You meant to say the Marion Barber rule.
There goes the run game.....hahahaha.
So punching the face is fine, but not grabbing it?

Heh, I imagine Big Ben will be none too pleased by that. I heard he's going to be on Mike Tirico's ESPN radio show at 1:22 Eastern if any of you Steelers fans are interested. I imagine he'll be talking about the rule changes, schedule, and that big ol' contract he signed.

Going to PA for a vacation with my wife Oct. 11 - Oct. 19. I was waiting until the NFL schedule was released before I started booking stuff. Figured I'd have 4 chances to catch an NFL game. Here's what the NFL gave me.Steelers - Bye week, @ Cincinnati
Eagles - @ San Francisco, Bye WeekThanks a lot!
Well, atleast you have a chance.
To get tickets, I have to get into a draw with over 100,000 people in it and it randomly picks people and then you have to buy a package of tickets (I think), if not then by the time regular tickets go on sale, it will be mass choas.
Considering the prices will be really high, thats like a thousand bucks to see 1 game (plus more).
