Its a good thing that when mistakes are make they can be corrected. What I meant to say earlier was that MIKE MAYOCK is a real good analyst for the network.

lol i know it was just too funny to pass up.

Jones is a good pick ONLY if they lock up Barber otherwise they will be wishing they got Mendenhall.

I don't think Jerry Jones will let Barber go. He let Julius Jones go because he knew how much more valuable Barber is to the them. Jones will lock him up for at least 3 years.

I honestly don't think Mendenhall will be a great back in this league. Jones is more versatile, and Dallas said they are going to use him like the Rams used Marshall Faulk. So I think the pick is going to look really good in the end. If the Pacman thing doesn't work out, you just got a guy who can be an effective kick/punt returner and running back.

saying they want to use him like Faulk and him actually being able to do it are very different. Coming from the biggest Reggie Bush fan in the world I am not surprised you are higher on felix. All I know is if I had to have either Felix or Mendenhall to be my future back I am tacking Mendenhall, but thats also a difference in philosophy as I want a guy who can pound the rock in my run game.

ESPN >>> NFL Network in terms of coverage. Mayock's fine. But Rich Eisen? Marshall Faulk? Kiper/Jaws break down players better than anyone, and Berman and the gang >>>> Eisen.

Meh, I rather have the NFL network.

I like the Felix Jones pick. They will lock up Barber unless Barber wants to be the single feature back which he will never be. He doesnt have the top line speed to warrent a huge pay upgrade.

But even if they dont sign Barber, they can always get another back next year in draft. They want to win and Felix Jones gives them another weapon.

Mendenhall, from what I read sounds very similar to Barber.

Might not matter right now. Steelers need an O-Line. Ben got thrashed last year, and we lost our best OL in the off-season. Not good times for a running game either.

Mendenhall is not nearly as shifty as Barber. The dude is more like Jones but with more power.

I was having a rough morning until I read this.

Looks like the OL might be this for 2008, despite any claims that the job is Colon's to lose: LT: Smith LG: Kemeautu C: Hartwig RG: Simmons RT: Starks with Hills, Colon, Essex (yuk), Mahan (yuk), and Capizzi backing them up.

I think (hope) people will be pleasantly surprised with Kemeatu. Tony Hills will also be pushing Starks for playing time, even though I think he's more of a LT. Regardless, Hills will be groomed to be Smith's replacement whenever it is in 2008 that he gets injured. The Steelers also just signed a FA Center from Marshall who went undrafted. He had his pick over NE, CLE, and Pittsburgh, and he chose the Steelers.

Bottom line, Tomlin needs to realize there's no time for merry-go-round offensive line in the preseason. That lineup, whatever it is, needs to be set in stone by the second game.

I don't get it. What does me liking Dallas' pick of Felix Jones over Mendenhall have anything to do with Reggie Bush? I'm lost here.

...but at least Botankus is no longer having a rough morning. Weird way to get your kicks if you ask me. To each their own. 😬

Felix is a similar style player to Reggie. And like Reggie I am not sure that he could ever be a feature back in the NFL.

I like Bush because he went to USC, not because of his style. I would say the most similar player to Bush in the draft was Chris Johnson. But neither of them have real ankle breaking moves like Bush. But they sure are fast.

Rich Eisen is the man.

I'm happy with the Browns picking Beau Bell, Mayock projected him as a 2nd or 3rd round pick, so that's a great steal if he pans out. Actually, I'm happy with all of Cleveland's picks, except Paul Hubbard. I know Joe J. is going to be gone after this year but I wish we would have went with a RB or even another LB with that pick.

He is much better than anything ESPN has.

Rumors going around that the Eagles may try and trade for Chad Johnson...Maybe even 2 1st Rounders. Just rumors at this point though. Also some have speculated that Stacey Andrews could be dealt as well for other picks or players. Andrews has stated several times he would like to play /w his brother in philly, and no long term contract is close to being worked out. Might not be until after June 1st though if this has any truth to it.....Personally I'd like to trade CJ and hang onto Andrews.

If I was the Bengals I would want Lito and picks.
