I hope Spector finds something otherwise he will look like a fool.

It's Goodell. I wont be surprised if nothing happens.

True. To me, Goodell comes off as being more concerned with the NFL's image rather than digging for the whole truth.

Yep.

I love his reasoning for destroying the last tapes.

"It stops from other from using them"

so how about those power rankings?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking?season=2008&week=0

Colts ahead of the Chargers? Champs ranked at #6?

Riiiiiiiiight.

I would have the Saints higher than 5th in the NFC. I would put them at 4 ahead of Greenbay. I would also have Dallas ahead of San Diego at #3. And the Colts I would have put at #1, I think they'll be in the Super Bowl.

Browns in the top ten for first time since 1900. haermm

I would put the Saints higher than Green Bay also, but not top 5, yet.

I see the Steelers aslo leaving the top 10 too, and the Giants also.

But other than that, It's actually not bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jacksonville wins the AFC South.

I wouldnt be either.

The Colts are still looking good but I think they've peaked and probably wont do anything anymore. They'll still get to the playoffs, but thats it.

Hope you all are ready for some more Tom Brady and Patriot fellatio this year on CBS.

In related news, the Bengals have teamed up with Court TV. Okay, okay, had to get that one in there.

lol honestly Teddy Bruschi was the worst for me. After he made his come back it was impossible to watch a pats game. It was like they were fighting the urge at all times to run onto the field and give him a reach around.

Oh god.

Read the article that TMQ has on Page 2 ESPN. He basically says that Belicheck should be suspended for atleast the season.

It's very interesting.

The writer hits the nail on the head with his note that Belichick showed no remorse for any of it. Guilty or not guilty, you can't ignore the fact that Belichick treated the whole thing like it was an inconvenience to him.

I read it. I thought he should have been suspended for at least a year to begin with. I'm not convinced a lifetime ban is necessary, but something else should have been done rather than the sad punishment that was given out.

For anything football related, he is one of the best and when it comes down to analyzing whats happening, he's the best.

My favourite is when he wrote about how the Pats might lose in the playoffs because no QB who has led the league in passing has ever won a Superbowl that year. And it happened.

I think he is right. The coach should get atleast 8 game suspension if he was caught cheating since 2000.

I dont care if other coaches did it, but he got caught. He showed no remorse, and lied that he interpreted the rules wrong. If Pacman Jones gets suspended for actions off the field (rightfully so), then a person who has been caught cheating and evidence of happening numerous times should also be punished, and not just a weak cash punishment. (because teams can give bonuses to coaches for whatever reason and its not a problem)

Neither Marion Barber nor Terance Newman aren't going anywhere. Barber signed 7 for $45 million, Newman 6 for $50.2 million.

Matt Ryan also signed 6 for $72 million with $34.75 million guaranteed

Nice. I know some thought Dallas messed up by passing Mendenhall just in case they couldn't re-sign Barber. Looks like that was put to rest.

I like the Terrence Newman signing. Outside of this year, he has been injury free, and I considering one of the best cover CB's in the league, but doesnt get the recognition that some CB's get.

But I think he is easily better than Hall, or Samual.

Barber on the other hand, well, I do like him and he provides a ton of TD's, and is ferocious, but I'm starting to be against the idea of providing long term contracts to RB's with a ton of money involved. Especially for a RB that doesnt have break away speed.

I still like him being on the team, but it could potentially hurt the team later on.

UPDATE: Adam Jones has been partially reinstated
