Play hockey and then you'll see what pain is.

I understand people do get hurt and its warrented.

But what I see on the pitch is a bunch of wussies who get hit and cry like a baby until the guy gets a yellow and THEN thier running full speed and playing like before.
Its diving, plain and simple and pretty pathetic.

And lastly, the flaming dude, speak english.

maybe it hurts them more than u realise
real pain in hockey? with all that padding they wear

this is real pain..ouch...you wont get that in hockey

right cause that can compare to this...

ever heard of Clint Malarchuk? There was a scramble in front of the Sabres net and a skate slit Clint's throat

A forearm in the back hurts so much does it?
Please. Soccer isn't the only sport that pulls muscles. Actually, all sports that involve physical activity pull muscles.
But in soccer, they dive. A forearm in the back does not hurt that much.

You said it yourself, " if u fall funny then u can pull some muscles which can be painful
thats part of football...if a player gets touched then they will make the most of it to win there team a free kick...thats football..thats life."
In hockey, pads rarely do much. There is no soft grass but ice, which doesn't give. Pucks don't bounce and are actually frozen. There are also smaller. Sticks and skates are sharper than a knife and boards around the rink are made out of fiberglass and Plexiglas. Have you ever gone full speed with a guy on your back into boards that don't give that much.
Also, have you ever seen broken necks, torn retinas, crushed larynx's and spinal injuries in soccer? Because a pulled hamstring is swiss cheese compared to most MAJOR injuries in hockey. They actually play through it most of the time.

If you say soccer is tougher than hockey, you got another thing coming.

umm...what's the point of this debate? since when are fans made based on how tough a sport is?

thats a one off
he could still play if he had it bandaged up..provided it wasnt that bad
broken legs can end careers
one soccer player has some brain damage from headering the ball

padding protects hockey players...do u think u would be able to bash into someone without padding and expect not to get hurt?
thats what the padding is there for..to protect...im not saying it still coudnt hurt..because it can....but not as much
you can get spinal injuries in soccer...i have saw loads of players fall awkwardly on there backs...there have been broken necks in soccer....there have been some horrific head injuries from head clashes or from being kicked hard in the face...uve saw broken legs..broken noses..broken arms
all this is possible..evry sport can be tough...but i dont watch sports to see injuries..i watch sports to see great action and thrilling encounters
i like hockey by the way..
american football is good but there are too many stopages

YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! 😱

screw your head on brother

Well, padding doesnt really protect the player actually. Most padding is made from hard rubber and when hit in the face, you need facial reconstucting surgery.

And having your neck cut by a skate is not as bad as a broken leg?
The guy could die in less than 2 minutes. The guy with a broken leg, just goes to the hospital, they put on a cast, and he's fine.

People get padding wrong. Padding is like a seat belt in a car. Its there to protect you but reality, your still kinda of screwed.
Its still funny that you think soccer is tougher than hockey and football. Its hilarious.

did i say its tougher?
i said u are just as capable of getting badly hurt in a soccer game as you are in a hockey game
rugby is better to watch than american football..no padding in that game
and besides..soccer isnt about bashing people around..if i wanna see that then i'll watch wrestling

There's no technique or skill involved in american football, it's just tactics....soccer is all about skill and technique, ppl with ability, any 1 who can pick up an egg and run can play ur game....jus face it, u lot moan about soccer cause ur no good at the beautiful game.

actually...usa did very well in the world championship 😉
i preffer soccer also, because i'm european...but i can't deny that there IS skill involved in american football also. let's see how far you can throw that egg, or how many guys you'll pass before biting the dust..

There is no technique in football?

What?
Let me see you throw a football. Or how about tackle somebody in traffic. Man, all sports have skill involved.

Dean, hockeys isnt that either. You guys say american football is all about hitting and THEN you say rugby is great. Excuse me for intruding but isnt rugby about hitting also? Arnt you being hypocritical?

im not saying theres anything wrong with hitting,i just said thats not what soccer is all about
i didnt say american football is all about hitting..the sport would be decent if there wasnt so many stoppages
yes rugby is my fav sport involving hard hitting...at least the the rugby game flows continuously without stoppages..thats why i like it

👆

talk about nfl then
tell me about it
best teams?
best players?

the Ravens got a nice off season pickup.. after hearing about maybe getting Moss and then Muhamed they picked up Derrick Mason who was on the titans

Moss sure seems excited about Oakland. He's a good fit and it's not hard to see why 🙄

Having played football for eight years and coached for six I have to disagree. I have also played Basketball, Hockey, Water Polo, soccer/football and was a boxer. The physicality of soccer does not remotely compare to football or hockey. And until you have played all three you really shouldn't compare.

Now back to the topic,

Moss sure seems excited about Oakland. He's a good fit and it's not hard to see why

I am a Minnesota fan, and for now anyways, I'm glad he's gone. As skilled as he was he really was a HUGE team distraction. I think that this may motivate the Vikes to shore up their Defence alot more. Their offence with Moss was deadly. Without it will just be Highly productive. It's the D that needs serious help.
