If the Pack have their way then he will playing for an AFC team. Although the Vikings and the Bears would make it very interesting. if Favre were to play for either team.
according to his agents statement he wants an unconditional release. Which means the pack has no control over where he goes. Honestly the packers are gonna look bad for not taking him back anyway so I say they should trade him to a shitty AFC opponent or refuse to release him.
Now I hope they just let him go and he goes somewhere and does well as I am a huge Favre fan. I just hope he doesnt embarass himself in all of this. Boy would the Vikings by scary if he went there though, and I bet Dan Snyder is getting his check book out already.
Ive been in Vegas for the past week so I havnt been following football that much.
So what happenend is that Favre told hes coming back, the Packer dont want him and then Favre wants to be released?
Or what else is it?
If thats the case, I hate it when players do that. They retire, make this emotional speech about leaving the game and then come back the next season. Atleast wait like Jordan, or Lumiuex. Even worse, he wants to get traded or released to play for another team.....thats lame.

Here is the quick recap...
From the Favre side he says he was rushed to make a decision because GB told him they had to know so he choose to hang it up because he just wasnt sure yet.
Now Favre wants to come back and apparantly doesnt think GB wants him. So he asked for his release so he can have the freedom to go wherever he wants if he decides to come back.
Now the kicker is that Favre has not filed for reinstatement with the league yet.
So GB has said that if Favre wants to come back he needs to file for reinstatement and they will put him on the active roster and they do not want to release him.
So at this point the ball is back in Favres court.

I hate it when athletes retire, and then unretire right after they said they're retiring. Atleast, wait a year.
Tell me about it. He was never serious in the first place, it was a media ploy all along. Though one thing I do respect about Favre, is that he's a team-loyalist. As opposed to all these kids today who play for five teams in three years. And to go from a benchwarmer at a less-than-prominent school like SMU to being a household name and face of the only privately owned NFL team is a feat in itself.
edit: Why is "Favre" not in the spellcheck's databank? Unacceptable.
