Because NY was already a good team before he came?

Favre, with AP, Vikings Defense, and Berrian and Harvin as deep threats and playmakers, would be pretty damn good.

I'm not saying he's going to be MVP, or lead the league in passing touchdowns or yards, but he will be good, and the Vikings would win games with him at QB, unless something ridiculous happens.

He did until he hurt his bicep.

You don't think he won't have any injuries anyways?

I just don't see Favre doing anything for the Vikings. I figure he will just as good as Rosenfals will be and I don't see all the hoopla if Favre signs with them.

He will probably break down before the playoffs like he did last year.

Just to show how rare it is for a star player to stay with one team for so long......

I was cleaning out one of my desk drawers today and came across an NFL Shop catalog from 2000. You know how they have the jersey page, with all the teams listed and about 3 or 4 players for each team.

So on the jersey page, they have 31 teams listed (Houston wasn't a team), with about 3 player options for each team. Let's just say 100 star player jerseys were available. Granted some retired, but guess how many of those 100 were still playing today for the same team?

Trivia question...who are those two players?

Manning and Lewis?

Manning was correct, and I was downright shocked that Lewis wasn't one of them. Great guess.

I think it was the catalog right before the start of the 2000 season.

Baltimore's jersey options for the upcoming 2000 season were Rod Woodson, Shannon Sharpe, Tony Banks, Duane Starks, and Qadry Ismail.

Sooo...who was the other one?

Bruschi? or maybe McNabb although he wasnt good yet he was a starting QB.

Indeed it was McNabb.

The Patriot jerseys were Bledsoe, Law, Katzenmoyer (who would only play 8 games afterwards), & Glenn.

For the record, 4 players just missed out:

Marvin Harrison
Tony Gonzalez
Fred Taylor
Amani Toomer

Never would of thought of Toomer is he not on the Gmen anymore?

Just as good as Rosenfels? Really? I don't even think Rosenfels will be better than Tavaris, and Tavaris is terrible. Favre would definitley be better than a backup Texans QB.

I'm pretty sure he was released. Though it may be one of those situations where if no one picks him up, he may come back for the vet minimum, who knows.

I guess.

I just don't think Favre will do anything. He will break down before the playoffs and if the Vikings make it, Favre will eventually hurt them.

Kornheiser out Gruden in.

2010 Headlines: Gruden accepts job as Bengals head coach, Deion Sanders set to fill Goof Chair in MNF booth.

Atleast its not Kornholier.

That why all of the Dallas stores have all of their Terrell Owens jerseys for 75% off after buying tons of them.

Because Tony Kornheiser got axed from MNF?

Yea when you say "thats why" what are you referring to?

Cowboys Stadium has several key design features, as outlined by the team's Web site, including the largest retractable roof on the planet, which when closed makes the facility the largest enclosed NFL stadium. Designers hope that when the roof is opened, a process that takes 12 minutes, the image of Texas Stadium's famous "hole in the roof" comes to mind. Another architectural first is the world's longest single-span roof structure, featuring two 292-foot arches that support the retractable roof. The retractable end zone doors, which open in 18 minutes, also are, you guessed it, the world's largest. A center-hung video board is composed of four display screens (two facing the sidelines, measuring 160 feet by 72 feet, and two facing the end zones at 53 feet by 30 feet), weighs 600 tons and is suspended 90 feet above the field. The two bigger screens are the world's largest, SportsBusiness Daily reports. The seating configuration can be expanded to accommodate 100,000, which is exactly what will happen when Cowboys Stadium hosts Super Bowl XLV in February 2011. And the bow on the stadium is the 86-foot-high, canted-glass exterior wall.

I must admit it looks pretty sweet.

It does look awesome.

Without stepping inside the stadium, the idea of a retractable endzone doors to allow breeze is pretty amazing.

The only funny thing is that its Texas. If this was Toronto, it would make total sense.

But then again, if I was an owner of a NFL franchise in Toronto, I would make it the worlds coldest open air stadium in the planet and build my team around that ideal. It would be totally awesome. Nobody would want to play there, and I would guarantee at least 7 wins every single season.
