Forum would be happy to know that after watching the 1st quarter of the Lions/Seahawks game yesterday, I correctly predicted the outcome. It was 17-0 Lions and I turned to my wife and said, "If they've watched enough Lions game film, Seattle has them right where they want them."

haha yea that game started terribly. Sadly (for them) the Lions best drive all game was the opening one which they did not score. But then we handed Det the ball deep in our own territory 3 times in a row to spot them some points. WTF was Mora thinking going for it on that 4th down I will never know.

I did love when they got DET to jump on the 4th and short later in the game though, much better approach than you typically see a team use to try to make them jump.

Cutler with 5 picks....

He has 17 on the season! And we're only half way through!

How did he get that big contract extension again?

It's like how Lienart and Bush get picked in the first 10 picks.

People make mistakes.

I still can't believe Cutler even gets mention as being a better QB than Ben. Now I'm realistic here and not saying Ben is in the class of Brees, Brady, and Manning just yet, but enough already, talking heads, about Cutler. Hell, even the broadcast last night was predicting Chicago would end their QB Pro Bowl drought this year! With 17 picks 9 games in? Right.

The Pro Bowl will probably happen again for Cutler. If he gets to 4500 yards like he did last season, everyone will forget that he's literally tossing his team out of games.

Yeah, he shouldn't be in the Pro Bowl.

Especially considering Bree's, Romo and Favre are the favourites in my opinion to get there.

Even if they do not, there is still Warner, Rodgers, McNabb in front of him.

Yeah, but the guy has 17 interceptions so far this season.

And we're only at the halfway point...

Yea he has no shot of making it in the NFC. I stand by my statement that Denver made one of the best trades ever getting that army of draft picks and Orton for him.

I still LOL @ Bears fans saying "CUTLER IS FINALLY WHAT WE NEED ITS SUPERBOWL TIME AND LOLOLOL VIKINGS GOT FAVRE HE IS OLD AND FRAGILE AND OLD AND THROWS A MILLION INTERCEPTIONS AND OLD AND CUTLER IS AMAZING FAVRE THROWS TOO MANY INTERCEPTIONS HE'LL SUCK BEARS SUPERBOWL W00T."

Even if Bears had a top QB they would be struggling. Their defense has gone soft, they cant run the ball and they don't exactly have big play makers at WR (just some speed guys). They have lots of problems right now, and regardless of QB certainly couldnt hold a candle to the Vikings.

True.

I think it was a good trade for both teams. I think Denver did better because everybody knew Cutler wanted out and the Bears needed somebody better than Orton.

I don't care what people say but Orton is not better than Cutler. I don't care if Cutler throws for 30 picks this year, Orton would not do better.

So turnovers don't matter? You don't care if your QB throws for 30 interceptions??? As long as he has a big arm and throws for 4000 yards, I guess he can turn it over as many times as he wants to....that is ridiculous.

If Cutler pans out, more so than Orton + the 2 1st round picks, then I can see it going Chicago's way. But right now, it's a huge win for Denver.

Cutler may have all the physical tools, but he doesn't have it up there.

Sounds familiar....JaMarcus Russel. Maybe Matthew Stafford??

SEC! SEC! SEC!

Don't lump him in with Russel. Russel has no tools other than throwing the ball far. I didnt think he could pass in college and thought he was a joke at #1. Stafford is still too soon to say one way or another.

I'll point this out.

He's 26 years old.

Payton Manning's first four years as a starter.
83 INT's 111 TD's in 64 games. That's 1.29% a game for INT's, 1.73 TD's

Cutler
54 INT's 68TD's in 46 games. That's 1.17% a game for INTs, 1.4 TD's

Not saying that Cutler will be better than Manning because I definitely don't believe that but Cutler has the ability to be a great QB.

I still think the trade works out best for both groups. One got a stash of picks (Orton will be gone in a year or so I believe) and Chicago got a chance to have a great QB.

So maybe Cutler helps Chicago out two years ago but the chance of having a QB that could potentially be great is hard to give up.

what a good game colts/patriots was

**** YES.

PEYTON IS THE MAN.

We all know going for it was dumb, but then tackling addai on the 1 was even dumber. Should have let him score and at least given Brady time. (seeing as they wasted all their time outs on offense somehow)

I'm usually all gun ho for going for it on 4th down but that was crazy.

A. You don't leave Manning time to win the game if you can.
B. At least give him a lot of yard before the endzone.
C. Do not give him the ball on the 30 yard line......

Even if they punted, what's the chance Manning goes down the field and scores....85% chance?

Go Chargers! Beat the Broncos and take over the AFC West! Gonna be a hell of a good game.

Go Patriots too!

Who roots for the Chargers and the Patriots?

Dumb dumb decision of the week has to go to Mangini calling a time out to give Stafford time to get right and come back on the field and beat him, rather than forcing a cold Daunte to do it with no time to prep.
