That seems to be the formula over there in the nfc, but hey the cards just turned it on strictly postseason last year and caught everybody by surprise.

It's funny how the Eagles, Cowboys and Packers would probably be favored over both the Vikings and the Saints right now. I missed the game and only saw highlights but losing to the Bears is unacceptable when you're trying to get a bye, even if they are rivals. The Vikings better step it up or they are headed for a first round elimination. Honestly any game can go either way, IMO literally every team can advance to the Superbowl and no game in the NFC should have a clear favorite to win.

Great game, but as a soceity in general we tend to change our opinions from week to week. The Saints won what 13 games in a row to drop 2 and now everyone is questioning them. I still favor them but all these teams are susceptible at any given time. It's not like it was in the early 90's when you knew it was down the niners and cowboys. Whoever won that championship game you knew was going to win the sbowl.

Saints just need to get healthy for the playoffs. They've been missing their #1 and #2 corners Greer and Porter, Jeremy Shockey, Heath Evans, Lance Moore, Scott Shanle, Scott Fujita, etc..

Realistically, Greer, Porter, Moore and Shockey and maybe Fujita will be a go for the playoffs. Wont help their run defense much, but it will definitely help their pass defense and pass offense.

I hope they get it together to make a sbowl run. I don't see anyone having a problem with them one bit.

There are certain teams I loathe such as the Pats, Steelers, and whatever team favre is on.

so....almost time for playoff predictions...once teams are set 😄

Go Bengals!

Bengals better win & I think something is wrong with Bellicheck, he is considering resting his starters.

I hope the Bengals try and win too. They should play like its a playoff game. A Win and a good game can go a long way in the playoffs.

You think they have a legit shot?

Ah man.

Dallas dominated from a stats point of view. Didn't see the game so I'm not totally sure but I was hoping they would lose because if they face off again, well, I don't think they will win again.

Yea it is interesting, similar to our fantasy league, the first week of playoffs will just be a rematch of week 17 for 3 of the 4 games. (assuming Jets don't collapse in this one)

I would be scared of getting Philly again if I was Dallas, would not be surprised to see the exact opposite of what we saw today (although I wouldnt be shocked to see it be the same either lol). I expect GB will hand Arizona their ass again though. Bengals//Jets rematch I am really not sure, I would like to see the Bengals advance but I would expect either way the winner will get trounced in the next round.

True.

It seems Dallas is peaking right now. They're defense has been outstanding and goes to show that Spencer was a good pick.

Yep and should they win (or even Philly for that matter) I think that team might be the favorite in the NFC.

I have lost about all my faith in the Saints. They just have not been good at all since destroying the Patriots. It was almost like they put so much attention on that game they just had nothing left after it. They only escaped the Skins because of the refs and a retard kicker (which could be the cowboys downfall in the playoffs) Then they could barely beat a falcons team playing without its star QB and RB. Then they face a good team in Dallas and it was clear who the better team was in that one, follow it up with a choke job vs one of the leagues worst teams and then dont even try in week 17 and lose again. Now take a week off and supposed to come back and play good for the first time in 7 weeks? Just dont see it.

At this point in the NFC I would rank it

#1 Vikings
#2 Dallas/Philly winner
#3 GB

If anyone else comes out of the NFC I would be shocked.

Yeah.

I have no idea who is going to win it this year.

Each team has weaknesses and such in the NFC. (but Romo is secretly having a great year and is very consistent.)

In the AFC, the Chargers look like the team to beat. There is no way the Colts win against the Chargers. They always lose. As for the Pats, not a chance if Welker is done for the season.

So in the end,

The Colts/Chargers

The Vikings/Eagles

I would not bet on it 😛.

I was heart broken after I saw Kansas won then Oakland lost.

I like how Bellicheck kept getting my hopes up by pulling Brady then putting him back in disgust

I don't buy into this whole "Eagles will be tough next week" business. I'm not a Cowboys fan but I do hope they whoop their ass AGAIN for such a terrible performance today.

For next week I'm giving it to Brady and company base on his playoff experience. I'm also confident on the Chargers and very much hope they remain dominant....time will tell.

I think playoff experience is a load of shit.

They have no defense and they lost their best WR, a WR that Brady always looks for when he is in trouble.

Bottom line: Any team on week 17 that has to have half the league lose in order to get in the playoffs will not advance anyway, so for the winner it's hardly anything more than hype and a worse draft pick next year. Fortunately that didn't happen this year, and I say "fortunately" because teams like that don't deserve to be there, including the Steelers.

Whoever said the Pack will hand it to the Cards, I'm with you on that. For the other games, expect a reversal of what you saw yesterday, especially from the lame-ass Bengals who, you could tell, even embarrassed Collingsworth. I think Cincy wins next weekend's game. Dallas/Eagles, close game. And I think New England will win with that Wes Welker clone they have (forgot his name). Baltimore simply doesn't have the pass defense or pass offense to take advantage. 8 men in the box for New England will be enough to take care of Flacco and his 4-play arsenal. He's been getting sacked a lot lately. Even if the Pats put 6 men in the box, expect a ton of corner blitzes.

I'm just hoping the Cowboys don't self destruct.

But at least this year was a success. They did much better than most expected and they stopped that stupid "December curse" once and for all.
