Yeah, after the third fumble, I stopped watching. I knew what was going to happen.

Either the Vikings are really good or the Eagles really suck. I have no clue why the Cowboys sucked so much.

Yeah I cant understand what happened to the Eagles. They were really hot coming into that game against the cowboys and then they laid an egg there with the second seed on the line. The cowboys just seemed to have their number this year and yeah I knew what was going to happen as well after the third fumble as well.

The Vikings are a much different team at home than they are on the road. That 12th man is a huge advantage for them.Just look at the last two games of their season.Like i said, they got knocked around up in Chicago against a bad team in the second to last game of the year. The last game of the year, they faced a far superiour opponent in the New York Giants, but they whipped the tar out of them. 😱

Home field advantage means everything to them which is why I think they will lay an egg next week when they face the saints up in new orleans when THEY will have to deal with the crowd noise like the Cowboys did and wont have the advantage of going up to the line of scrimmage this time and WILL have to worry about their play calling cause of crowd noise.

The New York Giants are in no way, shape, or form a far superior team than the Vikings. They aren't even a little superior.

Bring on the Saints! Should be a hell of a game.

****ing awesome.

They get a chance to prove they deserve to be in here now if they can beat the Colts while they are actually trying.

I can't believe all the crying by Dallas players about running up the score. Are you serious? Its a professional game stop someone next time you babies.

I didn't even see it but 2 minute warning left and they're throwing TD's. It's classless and just to pad Favre's stats.

That was no the case. It was 4th down and a case where they pick up the 1st down and they can take a knee and game is over. Kicking a FG would be classless and you dont punt from inside the 20. It was too long of a distance to realistically run it for 1st down so they called a pass play. Dallas decided to not play defense and let a guy be wide open in the endzone so should Favre spike it and turn it over on downs or just throw it to him? Had he been wide open for just a 1st down they would have gotten it, taken a knee and ended the game.

The only time adding points could be looked at as classless is if the team could knee the clock out and they still choose to try to score. In any other situation (on a pro level) the defense should wipe the tears away and keep playing.

They certainly laid an egg lol Oh well Not like I had any real emotional investment, I just thought the Cards could pull it off.

I guess go Colts, Cuz I hate the Jets, and I don't root for the NFC really. A Vikings SB win wouldn't bother me though. Mainly because I like Favre.

Glad you brought that up. Though their team played outstanding and deserves everything they got, their fans, along with Baltimore's fans, are Beauty Pageant Fans. Beauty Pageant fans are fans whose team can't do any wrong, the league's out to get them, and are certain that the refs are paid off to make bad calls, even when up by 2 touchdowns.

It's the same mindset shared by prissy soccer moms who enter their children in beauty pageants and curse the judges who find any flaw in their pampered child, who, BTW, is perfect. There's a difference between "protecting your house" and booing the ref's decision to throw a flag because your lineman jumped 50 feet offsides. And no, they are not booing the player, but the paid-off ref, of course. Pure football knowledge is limited with these fans, like booing a play that was clearly over 10 seconds ago, yet your player picked up the ball like he had just recovered a fumble. How dare they take that away from our team!!

This is stark contrast to fans who hold their team personally accountable for the level of play. Philly and New York fans are such fans, along with pretty much every other team east of Ohio and north of Georgia with the exception of Baltimore. And yes, I would say this includes fans of the Panthers, who are surprisingly (and relatively) ruthless toward their own team if they fail to deliver.

But to the Vikings players, congrats. I also don't find anything classless whatsoever about that late TD.

Sorry, double post. browser not too good today.

Um, I'm sorry but every football game I watch the Ref gets boo'd on basically every call whether it's correct or not. I don't live in Minnesota so I can't tell you if they know anything or not, but they seem the same as every other fan base while watching on TV, except louder.

Yes the Ref gets booed a lot in every stadium but it just seems overdramatic and overdone in the Metrodome. Maybe it's only 2 people booing the obvious calls and the Hefty-Bag acoustics make them sound like its 50,000.

I haven't done any research, but hopefully they get that new stadium and it's outdoors so watching the Vikings in January will actually feel like you're watching a playoff game.

It was the last two minutes in the game wasn't it?

There up by how many points?

It was clearly to pad Favre's stats. I'm sorry, but most teams would run at that time, especially given the score. I don't really care that much but passing in the last 2 minutes while up by 4 scores for a TD. You run up the middle, he gets tackled, Dallas gets the ball back and just runs out the game.

Actually no if you can end the game without giving the other team the ball I think you try to do that. You want them to take a knee and hand it to Dallas? I am sorry but unless the team can literally run the clock to 00:00 by taking a knee they should keep trying to play. (and you certainly don't just hand the other team the ball just because you are up by too much) It was not just a stat thing or they would have thrown on every down before it and you know just as every one else knows that if they simply picked up a 1st instead of a TD on that one they come out and take a knee and game ends. (because it would then be mathematically possible where it was not before).

They were up by 4 scores. Give me a break. How many times have I seen Dungy do the same thing.

It's padding his stats. They've been doing it all year long.

I really dont think anyone in Minnesota or Brett Favre care if he had 0, 1, or 8 TD's they want to get to the superbowl that is why he was brought in, and why he came back. Anything else will be a failure for them and him and the numbers I dont think matter.

I also don't think you can say a team that had 19 RUSHING TD's spent all season trying to pad their QB's stats.

And again who cares how many scores you are up by why should they just hand the other team the ball?

It's not about the fans, it's all about Favre. He's been running the team for months now. He wants the stats.

When your up by 4 scores by the last two minutes of the game, is it really going to be a big deal if the team gets the ball on the 5th yard line?

And they threw for 33 TD's.

No, but it doesn't mean I quit playing and give it to them. I would rather get another 1st down, take a knee and game over. If they choose to not play defense and allow that to be a TD it is on them.

I am sorry but crying about running up the score is one of the things I hate most in all of sports. I get it for little kids, even in college where they are amateurs but in the professionals there is no such thing as running it up, only cry babies.

Yea they were balanced all year. 9th in the league in rush attempts, 10th in pass. They also ran 33 times to 24 throws in that playoff game. I am sure they could have gone to Rice for 3 or 4 more TD's and thrown the ball 40 times had they really wanted to show off. But they kept running it (even though it was not working) to keep the clock moving.

****ing Brooking, what a crybaby.

Yes, it is clearly about Favre trying to pad his stats, as he has tried doing all year. That's why Favre, who is in control of the team, took himself out of some games that were out of hand for Tarvaris Jackson, so that Favre could boost his "minutes on the bench" stats. It's all about Favre, that no-good, selfish, stat-whore man!
