Well congrats to the Saints. Not sure I have ever seen a team win a game where they were dominated that much. They are going to get destroyed by the Colts if they don't play a hell of a lot better in 2 weeks.

And Vikings wow has any team ever f'd themselves in the ass that much before?

To give my thoughts on the controversial calls ahead of time.

#1 I dont think that was PI on Thomas, I think he fell down on his own and think it was uncatchable even if you had Jerry Rice out there.

#2 I dont think Pierre Thomas got the 1st on 4th down b/c of how the ball got knocked back, but think its too close to overturn on replay.

#3 I dont think Meachem made that catch clean but again think its too close to overturn on replay.

Overall have to blame the Vikings for giving this game away on about 20 different occasions. Even the coach got in on the failure by calling those 2 dive plays on 1st and 2nd sitting at a 50 yard FG distance.

Unbelievable. 5000 f***ing fumbles. I've been waiting the whole year for Childress to f*** something up and he finally did it. "Let's run out the clock for a 51 yard FG LOLOLOL"

Also, Saints got 20 or more extra yards at the end on that bullsh*t pass int and Meachem did NOT catch that ball, but what's new, the refs blow every game.

Meachem caught the ball as he had his hand underneath it the entire time, but I agree, it was a terrible call in the PI.

I don't know, he was bobbling it the whole time and it hit the ground. But whatever it shouldn't have been in that position anyway.

colts v. saints superbowl...

should be a shootout...

LOL, I would've bet my paycheck that people on this board would be talking about the refs this morning.

For every questionable call that went the Saints way, I could match you with one for the Vikings. Phantom "late hit" out of bounds that resulted in 15 yards on a return (actually an assistant coach hit him).....sack on Favre that resulted in 15-yard personal foul that was about as rough as I play-tackle my cat - I've seen Lamarr Woodley sack quarterbacks harder.........and Devery Henderson was NOT down by contact when he gained possession of the ball in OT - when he stood up and walked away it was a live ball (and that would have made Pierre Thomas' 4th-and-1 lunge moot).

It's like this every game, but Vikings and Ravens fans blow it out of the water. Actually, I can't believe half of Minnesota isn't saying Favre's hand wasn't going forward on the exchange with Peterson, thus ruling it an incomplete pass. See how ridiculous it can get.

Face it, Vikings, you lost. You had 12 men in the huddle when a trip to the Super Bowl was on the line. The draft war room is calling your name. Maybe Favre will leave you guys hanging, then dump you, leaving you with Rosenfelds and TJ for your big encore performance next year which will probably include getting swept by the Packers.

And congrats to the Colts. You were clearly the better team and will represent the AFC well.

Ugh...another superbowl with Peyton Manning.

Good luck to the Saints.

Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief. David Garrard is now a Pro Bowler.

The late hit call was actually against Favre: the Ref just announced it wrong. The ref was confused. The announcers "cleared" that up for the audience.

That's why the penality was 15 yards: it was a personal foul: roughing the passer. I think the late hit for out of bounds is like 5 yards.

Thanks, I try to tune FOX announcers out when I watch, so I must have missed Aikman and Buck clearing that up.

my thoughts exactly. The Saints are going to have to play far better on defense than they did in this game if they expect to beat the colts in two weeks. They cant allow the colts to have that much time of possession like they did with the vikes.Thank you Brett Favre. The Vikings more than likely would have won this game if Favre had not thrown that interception and just tucked it in and ran to pick up more yards with Ryan Longwell kicking indoors.Thank You Brett. 💃

I was really surprised that the crowd noise did not seem to bother Favre or the Vikings offense like it did Kurt Warner and The Cardinals.Guess Kurt should have worn those ear plugs that Favre did.lol

Good thing The Saints had home field advantage. No way would they have won this game inside the metrodome.

Nah, Vikes will sweep the Packers again when they trade for Donovan McNabb. 😛 Unless Brad Childress has something to say about it, which he very well might.

It's a shame, Vikings dominated every aspect of that game; it was their game to lose, and they lost it. They had 9 more minutes of possesion time, almost doubled the Saints total yardage, had 31 first downs to the Saints 15, I can't believe they fumbled 34 times, the game shouldn't have even been close.

Yeah, but in playoff football, Winning Turnover Battle > Outplaying Opponent On Stat Sheet nearly every time. Teams are too good to be able to overcome losing the turnover battle like in the regular season.

Just amazing. It is now officially no longer meaningful to be a pro bowler. Hopefully Seneca Wallace can take Brees spot.

He sounds pissed.

Yeah, it was kind of ridiculous.

I'm not a fan of Favre but if your Vikings supporter, you can't be pissed at him for throwing it. It was bound to come out sooner or later.

LOL. So now when we talk about a player and say, "He's a Pro Bowl quarterback," how long before we can say that for every starting QB in the NFL?

Let's just go for broke here. Schaub needs to stub his toe or something so the AFC fans can cheer Vince Young, David Garrard, and Brady Quinn on to victory. With Ronnie Brown coming off the bench as the 4th QB.

Wow the pro bowl just hit rock bottom. The league is FORCING the Colts and Saints players who made the pro-bowl to go to the game. They can not make them play but are making them go... WTF?

To compound the issue the teams are then making the players fly back home after and then turn around and fly back to Miami the next day so the team can all travel together.

I am amazed by the massive level of stupidity here.

In other stupid news the Titans fired their RB coach Earnest Byner. How do you have the player you are responsible for coaching accomplish something only 5 guys have ever done before and lose your job?

Could be something else like a work related problem.

Look at Denver. The defense was ranked 25th or something like that and then this year are ranked 7th. They fired the defensive coordinator.

I don't get it. I wonder if teams look at the Colts, the most consistent team in the league for the past 5-10 years and wonder how could it be?

1. Have a great QB.
2. Have the QB be brought up with the same coach and offensive coordinator.

Wow, consistency usually wins.

Yep I mean a lot of people think/thought Alex Smith was a bust, but he was essentially on a new team every year makes it kinda hard to develop. In the win now or get fired world it makes it hard to ever develop anything. That is why I like that they are giving Carroll a lot of control to do things his way, I only hope they also give him a long leash and at least 3 years (which really is not that long, but compared to how things go today its a lifetime) to see how things are coming along.
