Yes to part one and no to part two. Last time I checked Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger were in two different "classes" of quarterbacks in this league. If I went out there and played on the same level as Peyton Manning, how could you not say I played better than him?

Also, the Ponies were having problems with picking up aftermaths of the zone blitzes. They would pick up Polamalu in the middle, which would leave Joey Porter with a virtually free lane to Manning. This happened twice on their second-to-last drive. I guess Dungy & co. didn't think of reviewing the Browns / Steelers game on Christmas Eve, where that situation happened repeatedly.

Breaks my heart to see the Pats lose this past weekend. But there is no shame in Boston thanks to Tom the Pats made the playoffs. Good job!

However the team that should bow their heads in shame are the Colts. They had everything going their way. Momentum, Home field, Pats were eliminated the day before, and great stats. They just blew it! Big time!

This just proves that no matter how good your team maybe in the regular season....playoffs is a whole different game.

Huh?

So Big Ben played better because he isn't as good as Manning?
That doesnt make sense to me.

Yep, that's why the Steelers won. Colt's line played like shit.
During the half-time of the Bears game, Bradshaw was complaining the Manning wasnt being a leader because Manning said that they had protection problems.
Why is it soo bad for the QB to say that, when on the other hand, its not bad to say the QB played like shit. It doesn't make sense to me.
If the line sucked, they should get shit for that, because that's one of the reason's the Colt's lost.

When you're a non-factor for most of the game, as Manning was, I don't care what anyone's excuses are for that (it's a team game, O-line sucked, team is wimpy, coach is distracted, there was a pass rush, blah blah blah), you were out-played.

Ben was a gigantic factor in his team's win yesterday, from the second pass of the game, to the 4th and 1 he converted with a second effort, to the game-saving tackle.

momentum? umm do you watch football? They went 13-0 and then 0-4 thats not momentum. and stats? stats dont mean shit.

I think the skins should be very ashamed. With Alexander out and a few other injuries to seattle, and seattle un able to stop fumbling skins should of had an easy game.. yet they still got their ass kicked.

Did I ever say Ben didn't play great?
Nope

He was out-played? Nope
Well, it's kinda of hard to pass the ball when the Steelers coverage was soo good (you know receievers being covered too tight, where will the ball go), and the Steelers blitz was too good, (you know, its kinda of hard to pass the ball to anybody when three guys are tackling you).
Big Ben didnt have those problems aside from a few hits from Freeney.
He played great, but the Steelers defense won the game.

Good thing I am not a gambler. 0-4 on my picks, ouch.

Denver over Pitt (Both are pretty well matched, but I think home field will give Denver the extra edge. Should be very close.)

Panthers over Seattle (Panthers just look too good right now, and how good can Alexander be after the injury?)

Manning choked? I didnt know football was an individual sport.
Steelers played great the first half of football. Colts played great 1.5 quarters of football.
Your right, the defense was shaky, and its true. They were shaky at times, and thats the reason they lost.
But to say Manning was the reason is utter horseshit. Manning couldnt of been better. His o-line wasnt a good as usual and his recievers in the first half, could barely get open.
And then Vanderjagt missed the field goal. Nothing to do with Manning, he pretty much kept them in the game by not losing the football and sending the punt team off the field.
Steelers one because Big Ben played really good, the defense pressured the QB, their suspect secondary played really well. Colts werent as intense as they should be, maybe because they didnt play a meaningful game in a month (happened to the Seahawks also).
But your right, the Colt lost and you said they would. But to say he chocked is bullshit. He played better than Big Ben.

Your in denial here as usual that Manning chocked. That interception of his is to typical of Manning in playoff games. He is like Marty Shottenheimer,Once he gets to the playoffs he panicks and his mind freezes up in crucial moments. No its not horseshit,he routinely missed open receivers when he had time to throw. So he screwed up just as much as the o-line did.He did not make the plays when needed is the bottom line.yeah vanderjagt missed the field goal because like manning,he chocked as well.again your living in denial because he totally chocked. That game should have been over with with that horrible call that the ref made that it was not an interception.Bottom line is Big Ben made the plays when he had to-including the gave saving tackle and manning did not as he usual in a playoff game. There was never a doubt in my mind the colts would not make it to the superbowl because unlike denver, they had not faced any quality teams all year long and when they did, they lost.when they played very good teams like the pats and steelers, those teams were banged up and decimated with injurys. Big Ben had been out for a month with a hand injury and not healthy.face it dude, your colts are not that great and Manning once again proved he chokes in big games like his predesser before him Dan Marino did.

Man Im elated they lost.I got tired of seeing them in the superbowl year after year.Let someone else go there for a change.I had a pretty good idea that Denver would win that game. They were the one team in the AFC that did not worry about having to face the pats. They have a lot of condfidence when they take the field at mile high.

Manning didnt choke.

My colts?
They're not even my favourite team.

Currently 0- 6 on my picks. 😐

Picking Steelers over Seahawks (which will mean Alexander will probably have 200 yard game and Hasselback will have a Montana like performance 😐 )

I'm hoping for Seahawks to win it all. They are what I consider my hometeam afterall. This was a good year to watch them in person for the first time. Well worth the 8 total hours of driving.

I dont know.

Seattle against the Steelers. I'm not going to even bother with this one.

Yeah, it's a tough one to call, but I believe if the Steelers can limit their mistakes to under 4, they should have a good chance to win.

Alexander will most likely get about 90 yards rushing, as the Steeler pressure and secondary will probably try to get to Hasselbeck early. Other way around won't work because I feel Alexander will still get about 4.0/att.

Big Congrats to the Seahawks for their first trip to the Superbowl. I guess the stage is set. Steelers vs. Seahawks.

I'm picking Seattle to win it all!

Yeah, definitly.

I'm going to chose Seattle because Seattle has an great offense and an good defense, plus they have played less crazy games than pittsburgh has in the past month, so I can see Pittsburgh getting tired or something.

But, this is all in hesitation. I chose against the Steelers twice, and I got burned.

I am so pissed at the Broncos right now. 4 turnovers, all by Jake Plummer.

Defense was terrible.

In the pregame the Broncos were jinxd.

Foxworth I guess made a paper Superbowl ring when he was kid saying Superbowl 40 on it.

He predicted that by the time he was a rookie he would be playing in Superbowl 40.

pfff, welcome to the NFL kid. Where your quarterback on 3rd and long from your own endzone decides to throw a lateral to someone in the endzone, instead of going deep

The playoffs SUCK this year. Can we pleae have a close game?

I want the Seahawks to win, but I think the Steelers will win.

Vince Young or Reggie Bush?

Who do you think the texans will go for, the heisman trophy winner or the best college quarter back in recent years.

if it were me, ithink i would go for young, i just think he has more to offer.

Well first and for most they need O-line help for either of those guys to have success.

I'd say Bush. He's a safer choice. I really like Young, but it remains to be seen if he can throw the deep ball with that awkward throwing motion.
