Again, I don't care if the guy throws 30 TD's a year, I would need ten hands to count on my fingers the number of times I've seen him make a horrible decision when his team really needed a play. Ranging from an INT on his own 20 when his team's trying to drive for the go-ahead score or a fumble on third-and 1, this guy's also pretty good at making the "seal-the-deal" play at the end of the highlight reel...you know, the one right before they put the other's team victorious score on the screen after the Saints have failed once again.

I understand what you're saying. But you can teach a guy the game, but you can't teach him the athletic skills he has. That's just my opinion though.

But this will his 7th season. He will be 32 in March. If he hasnt learned the game of football as of right now, he will never be. The guy aint good. He is athelitic as hell, but who cares.

LoL I'm by no means saying he's the 2nd coming of Jesus. All I'm saying is that he's got some skills, and with the proper Coach, he could end up being a cheap catch.
Contract updates..
Wayne signs a new 6 year deal with the Colts
Ravens will NOT franchise tag Jamal Lewis, which means hes gonna be a free agent
Bills Franchise Tag Clements
Jets restructured their deal with curtis martin, and cut Ty Law, Jay Fiedler, Jason Fabini, and Jerald Sowell
Jets have also Franchise Tages Abraham, but they are likely trading him (I have heard for Phillip Rivers, but it looks like Brees may be leaving SD so prolly not now.) And the rumor there is that the Dolphins will be after Brees once is on the market

Hahah, maybe. You never know.
Bree's in Dolphin land? That would be good.
Fabini will become an Cowboy. (Parcells drafted him, and they need an RT, easy choice)
Because of the signing of Wayne, can the Colts still franchise tag James? Or would that be too much money?

Your right. They didnt tag James.
So I'm wondering what going to happen with the Colts and who they pick up in terms of RB.
But I think that people are wrong to say that the Colts are done without James. I think the Colts will be just as good next year, they just have to play a little bit differently. I think that defense will be better.
And remember, the GM of the Colts did draft Faulk, and James, so he might know an RB that we dont.
Peterson from San Fran didnt get tagged and will test FA. I'm so hopeing Dallas picks him up. That will totally make the defense different and changes the draft for them. Im so hoping, even if he isnt as good as before, he's an huge upgrade from Fujita (who's not bad either).
The Vikings say they are not talking with other teams to trade Culpepper. They also are gonna try hard to get Edgerrin James, Shaun Alexander, or Ahman Green. I would be happy with anyone of those. But of course Alexander first, even though James would probaly fit a little better in the offense.
Also, Culpepper said he would take a paycut so they could have more salary to try and get one of them.
I dont think Alexander is going to be made available. I still think he's going to sign an contract with the Seahawks.
I also agree that James will probalby be better in Viking land.
I dont know why so many people diss Culpepper, the guy is an class act and he's damn good to boot. Aside from last year, Culpepper had one of the best QB season ever, just happened Manning had a better one.

Happy with Ahman green? his skills have gone down and hes always had a fumbling problem. Take Jamal Lewis over him.
Yeah, I guess so, but I've always liked Ahman. Don't know why. Anyway we'll go after James and Alexander first.
On ESPN they were talking about how the Vikings told Culpepper they weren't listening to trade talks about him, then right at the end they said Culpepper would re-negotiate his contract for free agents.
well... i guess i was a little wrong
Colts gamble, don't tag James but hope to keep him
Associated Press
INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts president Bill Polian is gambling with Edgerrin James.
Yes, he wants the two-time rushing champ carrying the ball for Indianapolis next season, but as James prepares for free agency, Polian is hoping salary-cap restrictions will help keep James from leaving.
Still, Polian believes there is a "50-50" chance of James coming back to Indy. Polian hopes to increase his odds this week when he calls Drew Rosenhaus, James' agent.
"I'm going to talk to Drew this week and see where Edge is right now, so I'd say it's probably 50-50," Polian said. "But that's an uneducated guess because I haven't spoken with Drew."
The Colts think there's a "50-50" chance that James will be back next season.
The top backs expected to become free agents aside from James are MVP Shaun Alexander and Jamal Lewis, who helped lead Baltimore to a Super Bowl title.
Polian could have kept James by using the franchise tag on him for the second straight year after receiver Reggie Wayne agreed to a new six-year, $39 million contract. The Colts also signed defensive lineman Raheem Brock to a five-year deal Friday.
Instead, Polian, decided against using the tag, which would have increased James' salary next season to more than $10 million.
That means James, a four-time Pro Bowl choice, would be one of the most attractive free agents available when the market opens Friday.
"Reggie was priority No. 1, and Raheem was priority No. 2," Polian said. "Now we can turn our attention to Edgerrin and David Thornton and see what we can do."
Thornton, a starting linebacker, is one of 11 unrestricted free agents on the Colts' roster.
James has said he believes his tenure in Indianapolis is over. At the Super Bowl, he said he hoped to play for a team that wanted him.
James holds Colts' franchise records for attempts (2,188), yards (9,226) and touchdowns (64). Indianapolis has reached the playoffs six times in James' seven seasons, missing the postseason in 2001 when James sat out the final 10 games after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
While they want him back, it appears the Colts are preparing for life without James.
Polian and coach Tony Dungy both acknowledged they would be looking closely at the top running backs in this year's draft for a possible replacement. Dungy also suggested signing a free agent was an option.
"There's a lot of guys that can run and do well," Dungy said. "But with so many checks at the line of scrimmage and not knowing what play you're going to run and still respond, that's what you don't know."
James has been a key blocker and receiver for two-time MVP Peyton Manning.
But James might not be the only Pro Bowl player leaving Indy.
Polian said it was likely Mike Vanderjagt, the NFL's most accurate kicker, would sign with another team. Vanderjagt missed a 46-yard field goal in January's playoff game against Pittsburgh that cost the Colts a chance to force overtime.
"He'll probably elect to go somewhere else, so that's probably a position we'll have to fill," Polian said.
He said Vanderjagt's replacement may already be on the roster. Indy recently re-signed kicker Dave Rayner, a sixth-round draft pick last year who was cut late in the season because of his poor kickoffs.
The other big names on the Colts' free agent list are Thornton and defensive tackle Larry Tripplett, a second-round pick in 2002 who had his best season as pro in 2005.
But most of the talk has been about James. Polian and Dungy hope their gamble pays off.
granted i wasnt all wrong, they sure didnt care enough to just try to pay him, and I still dont think he will be back unless he really wants a superbowl and thinks the colts will get him one, otherwise hes goin to get paid. Shaun Alexander still without a contract could worry him though.
