It's always like once they fix one thing, the other breaks down.

BTW, that's funny because I was thinking about the Chiefs on my 6-hour drive yesterday from home. I've always recalled how every commentator loves to say, "If only they'd get a decent wide receiver."

Well, does anyone recall a guy named Eddie Kennison playing for them for quite some time now? I'm sorry if he doesn't do push-ups in his driveway or sponsors books about giving him the "damn ball," but he has been an outstanding receiver over the past 5 years. Top 15 in my book. 1,000 yard campaigns the last 2 seasons and averages around 17.0 per catch. That last stat alone is amazing.

He's a good reciever no doubt, but he aint in the same class as the other top recievers.
Kennison has been pretty forunate to be on a team with Priest Holmes, Tony Gonzalez and Trent Green.

But he's still a good reciever, but I dont think he's good enough when double teamed like TO or Steve Smith.

Kennison is good, problem is hes not great, and hes the only one. 1 good WR doesnt take a WR core very far. Gonzo is the biggest pass catching threat and there was always a big ground threat. Yea hes got talent but hes always been the 3rd option and theres no good 4th option,

Yeah, my old chef was an hardcore Chiefs fan, and he always got mad at me for dissing his team.

It was kinda of funny. hehe

its all about patriots

Your sooooo 2 season ago....get with the times.
hahahaha.

Hasnt anybody noticed how many Patriots fans are bandwagoners?

yes they are. But any team in any sport wins 3/4 theres gonna be a huge influx of bandwagon fans, aks total morons and not sports true sports fans.

Marooney and Jackson better be good if NE hopes to keep a solid team going into the next couple years.

Yeah, definitly.

That defense isnt looking as good as it has been. Still good, but not what it was before.
If any of those get injured....I dont know.

I don't even like the Chiefs, but that just always drives me nuts when sports experts talk about their wide receivers as if they got Bobby Bonilla and Mo Vaughn running routes for them.

Smas, my man, I respect the hell outta your opinions and all, but you can't go pulling lines like that. Are there many teams where you couldn't use the same statement and just substitute players? I mean, this is the NFL, and these players play for a reason here.

like,
* T.J. Houschmanzadeh (and every other offensive player) has been very fortunate to be on a team with Rudi Johnson, Chad Johnson, and Carson Palmer.

* Matt Leinert (and every other offensive player) will be very fortunate to be on a team with Anquan Boldin, Edgerrin James, and Larry Fitzgerald.

and etcetera for about 25 of the 32 teams. It would be way simpler to give the guys some credit rather than downplaying their value because of circumstances that are out of their hands.

What about John Stallworth? After all, he was on the same team with Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, and Terry Bradshaw. Same with Walter Payton. You know, with Jim McMahon, Willie Gault, and Jimbo Covert paving the way?

Oh analysts. My favourite is Terry Bradshaw and his comment about Manning complaing about his offensive line. I just dont understand how other teammates can complain about the QB not throwing the ball well, or fumbling or throwing an Interception, but the QB cant complain about the offensive line letting an 350 pd DT straight through, or an WR not catching the ball. It just doesnt make sense..
But I agree with you on the Chiefs comment.

On other hand, all I'm saying is that Kennison is lucky to not get double teamed like Owens and other high priced WR's. If he did, I dont think he would be that effective. I can say that about alot of players. But, I havnt seen alot of Chief games, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, good point. The media ate Manning alive after the Steelers loss last year when he said they had some "protection problems."

WHICH THEY DID!!

Hahahahhahaha......where's Mr Parker to add some much needed analysis......( Manning sucks I told you Smasandian that Steelers will win and that Manning cant take the blitz like how the Chargers did that too him and they didnt learn Shotty the coach of the Chargers sucks and he sucks) (Dont hate Mr Parker, I love you)

Terry Bradshaw sucks. Every analyst sucks.

Since all the training camps are just moments from kicking off (literally)...I'd like to start a daily (weekday, I guess) focus on one particular team, and our KMC panel of experts (Smas, Forum, BobbyD, Digi, and myself - all who could kick FOX's analysts to the curb) can showcase their opinions on them. If no one wants to do this, then no problem, I'm really up for anything.

Let's start off with a doozy...

OAKLAND

First off, any team that offers their official website in Chinese, German, and "For Kids" 😑 may need their priorities addressed.

That being said, let's move on to their strength:

The Raiderettes look very good this year, and I think I'd like to buy some stock in silicon.

Now let's move on to their weaknesses:

Aaron Brooks takes over the helm by virtuous default, b/c I don't think there's a capable challenger of dethroning him, including Tuiasosowhatshisname. So this looks like a mess to begin with. Randy Moss recently stated that he made a mistake in choosing the Raiders (sic) and then there's HeHateMe...well, let's just stop there and get some more opinions on the matter, particularly from the Art Shell standpoint and their so-called defense.

puke

Prediction: 3-13

Remember when I ripped the Browns about confusing name recognition with meaning you actually have a decent team? Here's a ridiculous post this morning regarding their backup to LeCharles Bentley, who went down with a knee injury. Keep in mind, from the minute Jeff Faine was drafted until the second he left the team, I would have found it hard to believe that Browns fans were often confused with Faine's arrival and Rambo appearing out of the bushes for the rescue.

The backup they're referring to is this:
HALLEN, BOB OL 6-3 302 03/09/1975 9 Kent State

Here's the post:

"Halen will have to carry the load - still an improvement in most skill sets from Faine - especially line calls. Now we got to work in another center...hope Sims has been snapping."

I dont think theres any good side. Lamont Jordan is good, Rany Moss and Jerry Porter are great #1 & 2 guys.

Aaron brooks makes horrible decisions, i could cover a WR if his QB was brooks. Now theres always a small chance a hcange of scenery can turn a guy around. And Brooks has a cannon of an arm. So if he learns to be accurate and make good choices they could have a lethal offense.

Other problem i recently heard Porter wants a trade which means tripple teams for moss.

Prediction: 3-13 I tihnk they have 2 games they have a good shot at, and 2 that they could maybe have a shot at.

Hmm Oakland....

Strengths: Could put up big numbers with Moss and Porter and Jordon. And .......... I wanna see how the rookie Micheal Huff pans out. Secondary with Huff and Washington might do well in the absence of the fence post (very expansive fence post) Charles Woodson.

Weaknesses: They suck ass. Moss will get injured. Brooks will decide to throw the ball to other teams safeties. Online is garbage and I think Gallery is gone for awhile. Defense is bad with bad d-line, horrible LB's and a young secondary. Art Shell will go batty at trying to disclipine this team. (Come on its the raiders).

Prediction: 3-13 is a safe estimate. Very tough decision will take away a few games.

Let's get an extra-special team for Friday.

CLEVELAND

Ugh. I hate this team the most, but I'll be objective here. They suck.

Their string of losing somebody in the preseason for the whole year may have extended this year, with LeCharles Bentley going down yesterday to a knee injury. Haven't heard the extent of the injury, maybe our panel of experts could provide the update.

Strengths:
Phil Dawson has always been an excellent kicker, even when I called him Phil "Awfulson" in jest. They also have dedicated fans that sometimes seem to put Chicago Cub fans to shame in their meagerness. If this team doesn't get Braylon Edwards the ball more, they're, well, the Browns.

Weaknesses:
Forget Kevin Winslow. I believe he can be a good player, but this guy needs to play 2 complete games before the TV experts come out with these Top 10 ratings for him. Last time I saw Charlie Frye, he was getting gangbanged in a 41-0 shelacking in December. At one point, I expected him to just launch the ball up in the air when a linebacker came untouched towards him in the fourth quarter.

Prediction: 4-12 (they do play the Raiders)

Pro Bowler LeCharles Bentley is out for the year, as he cannot even begin sports rehabilitation for 6 months. Seems the Clowns lose somebody early on every year. I predict someone else will go down before the regular season starts, too. Not sure if it will be a big-name guy since they only have about 1 or 2 of those guys on the roster. McGinnest and Winslow, Jr., IMO. Maybe Suggs.

Oh the Browns....

Strengths: Decent WR's with Edwards and Jurveicious and Northcutt. Winslow might turn out good, but you never know. Decent backfield with Droughins and Suggs. LB's have a chance to be good with Wimbley and Jackson.

Weaknesses: It's the Browns. They suck. Frye is brutal. (bring in Ken Dorsey). Every posistion has a chance of being crap this year. And one of them will get injured.

Predicition: 4-12. They have some crappy teams they're playing like Houston, Oakland, Jets.

Northcutt. I've always thought he was a better receiver/kick returner than he was given credit for.
