Thank you very much, please go ahead and mail the trophy right away.

Oh, don't forget to critique our team of the day (I posted just seconds before you, so it's above this).

Interesting things about this little thing were doing

Seattle wins superbowl twice
Everybody chose NE, Carolina and Indy to win division
Indy was always bye 1
NFC East was the most different

Shaun Alexander overall leader for rushing, while AJ Hawk was the overall leader for ROY D.
Vernon Davis and Addai were co leaders, while Bush was only nominated once.

Everybody voted differently with MVP D, while Manning and Johnson were co leaders in the O.

In my opinion, Botankus has the trophy for predicting Buffalo to get second in thier division and Jacksonville to be last in division.

It will be interesting to see, and I think I got everybody down. If you want, I could always send the file to somebody if they ask.

Anybody else is free to join.
I think we should have something for the winner and the loser. Or atleast the loser.

Cool, thanks for keeping track. Go Steelers. And if they don't win, Go Chiefs (so I'll have bragging rights here on the forum).

The Vikings

Offense: Decent offense. Johnson is that type of QB who can get 'er done. I also like Chester Taylor too. I think he was a very good RB with the Ravens. Richardson will definitly help too. O-Line is pretty good with big FA in Hutchinson while TE's are decent. One problem is WR. Robinson might get suspended, but if not, he's decent. Williamson on the other hand is turning into a bust.

Defense: This isnt the same team as a couple of years ago. This is a good defense. Pretty good d-line with James and Udeze. Williams can be dominate and while the other had a great year last year. OK LB core with a good pickup in Leber. I think one of the best secondaries today with Smoot, great DB in Winfield and Sharper

Prediction: I think the offense is going to be better than Chicago, and the defense is no slouch. I'm thinking upset in the division
9-7

ehhh living in bmore watching chester taylor he isnt that good. He couldnt even take the job away from a busted jamal last year. Yes he had some better stats some games, but he got some stupid carries on long 3rd downs against a pass D when he can pick up 10 yards and have it not matter.

Vikings suck is my final statement lol

how do you guys think the falacons will do (thier my favorite team)

3rd place in the NFC South. Panthers-1st, Tampa-2nd.

Time to face facts. Vick is mediocre at quarterback. He'll never be anything else. Saints will pass Falcons by next season, making them the probable cellar dwellers in 07.

Vick is in his 3rd year of a west coast style this year. The 3rd year is the year you start to see dividends of the investment into a west coast style. Problem is they still have a crap WR core. They do have a Defense that could just be absolutely insane. THey also have Schuab who could be a top notch NFL QB

the falcons will finish second in the nfc south and make the playoffs. the falcons could be very good especially thanks to that defense forum talked about. they will lead the nfl in rushing this year and vick will show marked improvement in the passing game. this is going to be a good year to be a falcon fan.

Considering there front line might be one of the best if not the best with:

John abraham 3-time Pro Bowler who had 10.5 sacks last year with 67 tackles.
Rod coleman Strong, versatile lineman who earned his first Pro Bowl nod in 2005 after leading all NFL interior linemen for the second straight season in sacks with 10.5 sacks in addition to tallying a career-high four forced fumbles.

patrick kerney pro bowler in 04 recorded 59 tackles, 6.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and two passes defensed in 05..

add in Antwan lake Played in 13 games with two starts and registered 21 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one safety.

they also have great depth at D-line as a team in 05 recorded 48 sacks to lead the league and that was before abraham. with Lawyer milloy added to that very stout secondary there going to be a nightmare for opposing offenses.

The only question is Vick for me who regressed last year in the west coast I dont see him ever becoming anything but thats just me. Michael Jenkins and Roddy white have great potential at WR its hard to shine when your QB is Vick who runs around looking confused does anybody realize the strain he puts on that o-line ALge has been bailing his ass out for 3 years sooner or later he has to become a QB and make accurate throws or make the change to Shaub.

They have a great running attack tremndous special teams player in Allen rossum maybe 9-7 at best..

i think bill musgrave is going to do a lot for vick this season.

Just watching the football game and its getting annoying.

1. Everything is about TO. Nothing happened in Cowboy camp. He had an injury and the coaching staff didnt want him to aggrevate it. It's the hamstring, its one of those injuries where it could be good in two days, or two months. Nothing else is happening. Also, they're is an misconception about why he isnt playing tonight. The announcers are saying its because TO said he couldnt play, but thats not the case, Parcells and staff told TO that they want him to practice more before getting into a game. TO agreed.

2. Who the hell brought up that Romo is going to be the starter over Bledsoe. Its the bad case of people looking way to much into things. He played the whole game last time because they didnt want Bledsoe injured, and they also want to sign Romo to an contract extension because they like what they see in him. But not as an starter, but as an backup.

I hate ESPN. It's brutal and if I have to hear about Bush, ahhhh.

i do believe it was chris motensen that first brought that up

Well he is an idiot.

Another thing about Bush...I'm knocking the guy at all. I think he will be a damn good RB in the NFL.

Im knocking the announcers.
I think they said, " You got spectacular plays from Bush tonight"

Im like, what plays? He had two runs stuffed for negative yardage. He couldnt deke out DeMarcus Ware, and while the screen play was good, it was a screen play and he made one guy miss. Thats it. Nothing else really special.

the joy of being the golden child of espn on an espn televised game.

Well, thats what you get.

I still cant believe Ware caught up to Bush and threw him down. ANother favourite was when Bush was running the pitch out and try to change directions like he did against the Titans, and got tackled. He is going to find out that you cant do that all the time, and I thought he would of gotten some good yardage if he didnt try to cut back to the other side.

But it was a good game on the cowboys part, Glenn was awesome. He will do good this year.

Great defense too...(even though it is the Saints)

Actually you can blame that on SI's peter king who stirred the pot saying the leak came from Dallas front office"cough, cough" Jerry Jones last week...

Give the saints credit enough not to throw him out there for Kick returns during the preseason anybody remeber 1998 giants versus jets first preseason game of the year giants front office gets the bright Idea to use Jason sehorn for kick returns he suffers a debilitating knee injury, tearing both his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments on the first kick return. He returned the next season his forty time went from running 4.41 to 4.62 runined his career..

This isnt about the Saints or Reggie Bush.

Its about the announcers praising him for nothing special.

My take on the whole preseason is that its football, injuries happen. You dont play your first team all the time but really injuries are bound to happen sometime or another.

Let's get back in the AFC for a moment.

Houston

If offensive lines didn't matter in the NFL, this would be a playoff lock. Unfortunately for the folks in the fifth-largest NFL market, it does. So most of those 12-yard passes are wiped out by 12-yard sacks. Hey, at least they got Mario Williams to help with that. Oops, he's on defense.

Kubiak will find more creative ways to get RB's involved. May have something to do with why they passed over Bush.

A few years ago, I thought there was a huge dropoff between Charles Rogers at #2 draft pick overall and Andre Johnson at #3. Hell, I even called a sports talk show to voice my opinion on the matter. 😑 I was dead wrong, and I only hope they don't rebroadcast my call if I ever become famous.

prediction: 6-10 (tied with J'ville for last place in division but will win tiebreaking advantage)

Hmmm I had heard Rumors about TJ Duckette being in possible trades for a while. It seems not ATL is dead set on making a deal done. THey want a WR and they are talking to 4 teams including the Redskins. Portis fantasy owners cry everywhere first a shoulder now a TD stealer.
