It was the best way i saw things rolling out. Arizona is going to be very good this year i just think Jim Mora Jr is going to save his job and Michael vick is going to have a breakout year.
i think they are the best team in the nfl. and that pains me being a falcon fan. however getting that homefield advantage is going to kill them for the playoffs. hutch meant a lot to that line. and i think seattle may lose at least one game to arizona. carolina i think will win a few games with their defense and a couple of others with their new and improved offense. keyshawn was a huge pickup for them.
Good points, Smas! Oh, and a few call me Bot in the MS&C forum.
Okay, as promised, one of the big ones, and for the first time in about 10 years, I would actually consider this to be one of them:
Washington
Their team slogan for 2006 is "Winning Starts Here." And why shouldn't it? I have dismissed all optimism about this team ever since the '90's, but there is something different about this year. Snyder's Steinbrennerism may have finally paid off.
Portis injury aside, this is going to be the best team around the goal line in the league. I mean, look at the options: Chris Cooley, Christian Fauria (with a 2 tight end set, TD's should be almost automatic-from them or others), David Patten, Mike Sellers, and Brunell's experience. And I didn't even name any of the big stars.
Santana Moss stepped up big time last year when their was no one to throw to. Well, now there is. With the addition of Lloyd and Randle El, they no longer have to seriously consider James Thrash as a legitimate receiver in their game plan.
Defense is very good again, and it would be interesting to see if Archuleta is a boom or bust for them. Springs is a terrific athlete, and their win in the Marcus Washington auction a few years back should show up big this year.
Glaring (and obvious) weakness: What if Brunell gets hurt or sucks? They never addressed that issue, and when I say "never addressed," yes I'm aware that Todd Collins and Jason Campbell are on the roster.
Prediction: 11-5 (NFC East Champs)
Oh my favourite hated team
Wicked options for offense, especially in red zone. Moss might have another big year, but heck, he has never done it with the Jets, so it could mean last year was an fluke, only time will tell. If thats the truth, then Lloyd isnt good enough to hold the position himself, while Randle El hasnt been the WR threat people think he is.
Defense is very good. I wonder if Taylor will finally go to prison sooner or later. It will be very interesting to see Taylor vs Owens. They're is a glaring weaknesses and weakside linebacker that could have problems with Dallas and New York excellent TE's. It will be interesting to see Rodgers progression this year. Archulata is alright, but is an upgrade somewhat.
Overall, very good team which will falter if Brunell sucks or gets injured. Same goes with Portis.
Prediction:9-7

Digi, you sure love Kansas City hahaha
Indeed. I'm actually a Pittsburgh fan, so I'd love to see them prove me wrong and repeat.
But yes, I'm on the KC bandwagon right now, 110%. Law and Herm will get the defense together and the offense will be as good as anyone's (except maybe Indy/Seattle).
I dont think that defense will go through.
It was much hereled as the best defense but it didnt do anything.
Johnson wasnt explosive enough, Bell aint that good, Mitchell, meh alright. Their secondary is weak with Surtain not being what he was and Sammy Knight getting up their in age.
DE Allen though is pretty wicked and their draft pick was way to early in Hali.
They'll do good, but they have questions with that old offensive line and that defense.
