considering Garras attacks aren't Strange level reality altering and are basically just supped up sand and wind attacks I still don't see how being hit with a Sand or wind attack is going to hurt him sandman.

ofcourse theyr not, just giving an example. but they do have chakra. furthermore, gaara can just trap him in a container of sand and seal it so tight with chakra that sandman cant move a single grain of his own sand. then he can just levitate it into space or in some water.
and yes i can think of a few times against doom that mystic power took down sandman.
