Yeah I love this game demo so much. It is so much more frantic especially when you are trying to stay away from the chainsaw maniac and the axe dude. Also split screen coop is much more strategic because you have to worry about your partner as well. I know you had to worry about ashley in RE4. but its different. The reloading isn't too bad. I think it actually does add more franticness to the game. i think it adds slightly to the feeling of helplessness. I loved the demo and i can't wait to play the game.

There's rumors going on about RE4 moving to the 360 and PS3. Hope this is true because that can buy us some time while we're waiting for RE5.
You make it sound as if they have time to re-release RES4 before RES5, ha! I hardly doubt that, besides it would be a waste of time and resources to do such a thing.

I hope this doesn't happen. It will be the exact samething as the PS2, and Gamecube ones just with better graphics.
I also doubt this will happen.

Any idea when, and if, we will be seeing a PS3 demo?
In Japan the PS3 demo was available as a demo disc (along other games)
in any case the PS3 demo will be available the first week of February
played the Japanese demo a week ago (which is the exact same one as the English one)... way too hectic.... plays just like RE4 which I love, but being force to change items on the go makes it all the more challenging... that and caring about your partner too
can't wait for this game...
That demo is really disappointing. The co-op aspect seems that it will make the game worth playing but the controls still feel like they are working against you. The whole idea of not being allowed to walk while shooting is just ridiculous. It adds absolutely nothing to the game but rather, takes away from it. You may say, dude you haven't played the entire game yet, calm down. Yeah, i haven't played the game in it's entirety but i played RE4 and that had the same problem with not being allowed to walk while shooting. This may not be as bad if there were some kind of dodge function, i.e barrel role, duck etc...
I know i sound like im nit picking, especially when most of you will get raging hard ons from the demo but the controls really put me off. It feels like a dated control scheme in a 21st century game. The graphics seem very sharp as far as animations and lighting go. I'm still looking forward to playing this game with a friend but im not looking forward to the cheese ball dialogue and clunky controls.
Has anyone else had these problems while playing RE4 or the demo for RE5? Or is it just my friends and i? Maybe, i'm just getting old, but i don't think restraining the player from executing basic controls found in video games to be an atmospheric element that adds to the survival horror theme, but rather, a hinderance.

I think you are just gripping about nothing right now. This is not Gears of War so it wouldn't make sense to be able to shoot and run, the game would then lack tension. I'm not even saying I'm a big fan of the control scheme, but GOW sort of style wouldn't make much sense either.
Capcom have got a series where you can do all kinds of outlandish and ridiculous moves. It's shit. If they wanted to change the controls for RE they could. Obviously this is what works, and this is how I would have the controls be. If people aren't keen on them then there are other games. The controls aren't 'bad' just because you don't like them.

.. the game has to be Gears of War to allow you to run and shoot?I'm pretty sure there's been like, a trillion shooting games, horror games included, that allow you to move and shoot. 😐
And none of them are remotely near to RE.
