Well, I just beat the game. Truth be told, I'm a little disappointed. The game itself, while very, very beautiful, and has fun online capability, is just too much like RE 4, in that the final boss is a complete pushover, like Saddler was, and the inventory system all but kills the fun of this game. Honestly, RE 4 was better than RE 5, in my opinion. I didn't get any of the thrills and chills that I got from 4 with 5.
My rating is a generous 9.
I plan to start another game, probably today or tomorrow, and try out online play.

Are you planning on buying that extra multiplayer mode next week?

Capcom is milking us.
I know what you mean man, I'm not happy about it either
come on:
Charging for a hard mode on Megaman 9
Charging for costume packs on SF IV practically the very next day after release
And now a Multiplayer mode a week after RES 5's launch.
That's the problem with Capcom, they're great at making games and game series but hell they sure are greedy.

What is it? I've never heard of it.
Well Capcom being the "kind and generous" souls they are decided to release a new multiplayer mode, similar to a death match mode as well as from what I can gather a competitive Mercenaries mode, it comes out some time next week, and Capcom have decided to charge for these two modes at 400ms points and for $5 on PSN.
Edit:

QFT.
If only people stopped buying them so they could get the message.

So far I think the game is outstanding. Personally I don't get the complaints about how it's no longer horror, it's no less scary or creepy than the other games, though the enemies are definitely more intimidating, which does obviously make them more frightening in a way.
I was imitimidated by the 9ft tall african warriors until they started doing their war cry then i cracked up up and died 😐

I was glad too. I don't know whether they were in that lab left to rot or that Wesker thought they were still useful. Either way, glad they returned.
The fight with that El Gigante was easy. It would've been more of a challenge if you fought it onfoot.
