That was when the game went downhill. And that was the first real case where Sheva's AI became a significant problem.

No way you did this on vet diff then. It takes forever to kill those bugs. IF they didn't have a one hitter quitter then it wouldn't be so bad but you have to take out one before the other even makes it over to you. If you try to kill both at the same time, it was damn near impossible to do before the turret guys got there along with their other "small" guys with stun batons and ak 74s. You literally had to unload 40+ rounds with the grenade launcher and be sure you and your partner were not reloading at the same time or you were basically starting over on killing a bug.

Wesker was annoying as hell also. Even after we figured out what to do, getting close enough to him as he held the rocket proved very difficult.

That was chapter 6-3 not 6-2, and I expect a final chapter to be hard, even though on Co-Op it's not that hard at all.

Chapter 6-3 is all Wesker...

Not possible on Vet. I don't know what you can do on anything else but those bugs take forever to kill because you can't just shoot them; it also takes aiming accurately with powerful weapons. If you could just kill with an upgraded HG it wouldn't be a problem.

Meh. I managed to turn that battle into an epic fight. Granted, I was using the A.I for Sheva, but still.

I actually cussed when I saw the two J.J's coming out of the door lol.

I'm just a bit annoyed at these people saying this shit as if they breezed by it. It's not possible to just be like "it wasn't that bad." You can't stand in the same spot cause the little bubble you have to hit does not stay in the same spot. Then you first have to hit them hard enough to make them stop. I don't think this was coincidence but the Electric rounds only worked on one of the bugs and the other was like "HAHA, puny ****er come here!"

Why would it be easy lol? The fight took me like half a goddamn hour, and left me with like no ammo.

But really, the only bad thing about the bugs is their ****ing one hit kills. That's the reason I never go to the mine in Mercenaries.

If you don't panic when you see the two walking toward you, and you keep an eye on your back to make sure you have breathing space, it really isn't all that difficult.

One shot with the magnum to the glowing yellow center stuns it. One more shot kills it. Same with the Sniper.

The problem is that people see them coming and panic and unload all their ammo on it, which doesn't work. Then they die.

Plant land mines all over the place. That's what I did to kill those roaches and two gunners. If that doesn't work, just get on that turret and shoot them.

Capcom was making this game for three friggin years and yet there's problems in it. The staff is kinda lazy if you ask me. Hopefully Capcom will give us a patch for Sheva's retardedness.

Umm no, it's Chapter 6-3 BEFORE the Wesker fights, I just finished that section.

You guys are really annoying the hell out of me.

1) That glowing center has to come out. Shooting a magnum shot wouldn't do shit on vet if it was your first shot. Where this magnum ammo coming from anyway? On vet, you get 6 bullets in the gun and we saw 6 magnum bullets TOTAL, later.

2) Accurate shooting - if you miss for more than two seconds or happen to be reloading with your partner, you basically just started over. The sniper is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow. My sniper was upgraded for power as far as possible and it wasn't not working quickly enough even with my roommate using his grenade rounds.

3) Where the hell are you getting all this ammo from?!?!?!?!

4) The gunners have turrets and the smaller guys don't allow you to just stand around. On vet, you are dead in less than a second if they get you good even if you have full health. You wouldn't even have time to place down mines in the open. Same issue with the turret, you can do that for a moment but they will mess you up before you kill them certainly, and you still have to worry about the little guys.

It's really not my fault that you're failing at something that some others don't have as much trouble on. In fact, it's very pretentious of you to assume that just because you are having trouble with something, everyone else should too, and if they don't they're lying or mistaken.

1) That glowing center has to come out. Shooting a magnum shot wouldn't do shit on vet if it was your first shot.

Hence the point of "watching your back". Reapers move slow as hell. If you don't get backed into a wall or a corner then you just need to dance out of their range until the gold weak spot shows up. Again, panicking only gets you killed.

Where this magnum ammo coming from anyway? On vet, you get 6 bullets in the gun and we saw 6 magnum bullets TOTAL, later.

When you upgrade the ammo capacity on any gun, it automatically refills the clip in your gun completely. Come on man, you never noticed>

2) Accurate shooting - if you miss for more than two seconds or happen to be reloading with your partner, you basically just started over. [/quote]

Then learn to aim well. It's called "Veteran", for a reason. If you're skills are sub par, play on a lower difficulty.

The sniper is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow. My sniper was upgraded for power as far as possible and it wasn't not working quickly enough even with my roommate using his grenade rounds.

Aim faster. Get distance. Don't ever stop until you have plenty of room. When the two reapers first go toward you there is a ladder directly to your right, go down the ladder and camp on the other side of the pit from it with either your rifle or your magnum. If you miss or you run out of room, circle around the reaper, giving it a wide berth (Which may involve you letting it get close to you so that it can't pincher you against a wall), and go back UP the ladder. This back and fourth style of playing is how I beat the reapers the first time you fight them and the second time when there's two at once.

Once you figure out how the AI behaves you can screw with almost any boss character. Fun fact: When my friend and I fought Wesker on veteran, the part where you have the RPG, we killed him. It's actually possible. If you shoot him enough times with regular ammo he'll fall to the floor on his knees, then you automatically lose.

So, yeah. It's not impossible.

Does Chris scream Wesker? 😐

.

I'll just use this to prove my point: You are either really lucky or have no clue what you are talking about. IF you decided to keep running away and camping in that manner, they will just regenerate meaning you have to start shooting them all over.

This back and forth style should not work on any enemy that regenrates in application. IF you missed the yellow blob, sometimes that sheild would come right back up and you would just have to start over. Anyone who did this should think this strategy sounds damn near impossible to use because of the regeneration. I was aiming accurately and hitting with my rifle and it still did not work that way at all.

Even if someone were to try this it would take too long because the gunners would come out by the time you actually killed them. I would have to see a video of this or just call complete bullshit.

Those parts were really poor, I was extraordinarily disappointed in them. They were lazily implemented and drawn out as an artificial way to add game length and to produce challenge through cheapness.

Capcom really needs to ditch their hardon for these poorly implemented quick time events. They really take away from the cinematics, because after a while I'm just sitting there staring at the bottom of the screen waiting for the prompt not even paying attention to the actual cinematic because I don't want to get cheaped into having to do the entire segment again because I didn't push L + R fast enough for them. The final couple of parts took away a lot from an otherwise excellent game. Also, Sheva's lousy AI became hugely apparent at that time as well.

Oh lord. I concur.

Spoiler:
I'm laying back watching the cutscene and Sheva is grabbing onto a pole in the back of the Jet. Wesker grabs onto her ankles and Chris has an emotional predicament as he sees flashbacks of Jill and Sheva is ready to let go. All of the sudden, a flashing prompt hits the screen and I have a whole second to click down the triggers in order to preserve Sheva's life. It ruined the whole moment and costed me an S rank. Garbage. Garbage. Garbage.

Once you beat the game a few times (Without cheating) it just becomes effortless with the infinite ammo and uber weapons.

You really have no clue on how to play RES 5 do you?

Maybe he's used to Halo?
