So, I've heard that there will be four new characters and two new secret levels added with the 'Wii Want More' service, starting May 2008...

I'm hoping they won't be adding another Pokemon, and that they won't bring back Mewtwo. He is useless next to Lucario...

My guesses (or my hopes?) are that they'll thrown in another Star Fox character, another Zelda character, another Metroid character, and maybe another third party or obscure Nintendo character.

I'll keep holding out for Banjo-Kazooie, no matter who has the damn rights to them.

Not if they give him a new B-button attack or 2, and/or if they improve his speed (especially while in mid-air) to the way it was supposed to have been. Mewtwo would be in a league of his own then. There's plenty that can be done with someone of his caliber.

I gave Lucario a try earlier on, but he didn't really fit my playing style, so meh. That's why I ended up maining Pikachu again (like I did in SSB 64).

With Ridley being an unplayable boss in both his normal and Meta forms, I guess that officially counts him out of the picture. Too bad really. He would've made the most sensible Metroid addition... but what other Metroid character would they add instead? Sylux or some other obscure bounty hunter? No thanks.

If the 4 characaters turn out to be obscure Japan-only figures that almost no one's heard of, prepare to have those hopes crushed again. 😛

Chances are though, they'll just be a bunch of 3rd parties.

Something's not right. Okay, on the "press nintendo" page about the DLC, if you click on "back" at the bottom left, it doesn't take you anywhere. Now if you go the actual site itself (through here):

You'll see that there's no mentioning of DLC anywhere. And if you go to the other news on the right, you can comeback by clicking on "back" at the bottom. So yeah, it's most likely fake (especially since Sakurai himself said that there won't be any DLC). If only it was true...
